ESAFO..I would totally agree with you IF it were against any other team.. except maybe the Browns (fat chance of that ever happening) but I live about an hour away from Charlotte and the Panthers are my team. Will be pulling for them 110 % !!

are they pointing at Peyton in a club box seat kissing his ring on his middle finger? :biggrin1:
i just hope it is like the Pats-Broncos game back & forth till the last drive, these blow out SB are just boring even if your a fan of the team doing the beat down.
GL to both teams & may it be a safe enertaining SB to remember.

Got to go Bronco's!

Rooting for the Bronco's in Super Bowls and watching them get blown out time after time, kind of ruined me on them. When they finally figured out they needed a complete team, to go along with Elway's arm and legs, they finally won one. Carolina looks pretty tough, I don't know if the Bronco's can take them or not. I'm going to root for the offense this Super Bowl. Which ever team has the ball, I am rooting for them to make a TD.

I'm a big Bronco's fan, but this time I think the Panthers are going to tear that old Bronco apart, sad to say.

Since I actually live in Charlotte I have to go with the Panthers. Last night was kind of unbelievable. Palmer couldn't get a break. I think the pressure of the defense and the joy of the offense makes it favorable for the Panthers.

I didn't watch that game, I would just check in to see the score. one time I checked, and Cam Newton ran about 15 yards and jumped over the defenders into the end zone, and I thought "****, they are going to kick the Broncos ass".

Having friends and relatives in Charlotte myself they have been pretty relentless in giving me grief since my Seahawks didn't make it. To their credit next to their own team they are all devout Seahawks fans when their team isn't in it.
While I don't have a dog in this race I guess it's only fair I back them since they backed us the last couple years.
My wife's a Patriots fan by NE coastie heritage. We live in the general area of Denver and I'm good with the Broncos. Yesterday was a bit ugly 'round our house.
I'd like to see the Broncos pull this one off, mostly for Manning in his no doubt final game of a really good career. Don't expect that to happen, tho.
I live outside of Charlotte. Long time fan. Any other team, and I would be pulling for Manning.
Panthers are a fun to watch team. They are different in that they are serious, but playing to have fun at the same time.
Cam reminds me a little bit of Magic Johnson infectious smile and great talent.

I don't care either way, but I think it will make for a better than usual Superbowl, minus the entertainment, which will suck badly just like always.

For some reason I'm still not sold on Carolina being a 1 loss team heading into the Super Bowl, I guess its probably because up here there not on our local TV networks & when you look at the roster your eyes gravitate to 1 name.
if Carolina wins then obviously they were the better team that day, but I'm still hoping Peyton finishes his HOF career with another ring.
all in all I'm hoping for another Pats-Broncos finish that comes down to the last
possession.
As of now its 81%-19% betting in Carolina's favor -5, people keep betting Carolina this could easily be a +7-8 for Denver.

You don't think there's gonna be a wardrobe malfunction or what?
I haven't heard a word about who or what the entertainment portion involves. Far as I'm concerned they could just have all the cheer leaders wander around the field and that would be fine by me.
They could weed out any ugly ones or ones with too big a hooter so Itxi isn't offended. I think I gotta a good plan. I could coordinate this.

^^^^ That sounds good to me. IMO, they don't show the cheerleaders enough, just a glimpse now and then isn't enough.

Cam Newton is a pompous ass, Hope they lose, but I see them as unstoppable like the '85 Bears and '86 Giants....
Carson Palmer didn't deserve to be on that field yesterday, pathetic. Peterson put the nail in their coffin on that hot dog kick return.
Denver has to rely on it's defense to win this game, Peyton and the run will be ineffective.

I'd love to see Peyton go out as a winner. My gut tells me that Carolina is playing at a peak right now and it'll be hard to stop them but Denver's defense is really good too so since I'm a long suffering Tampa Bay Buc's fan I just hope that it's a good game and not a big lead either way.

Seriously though, I do like him and like I said if it were against any other team would be pulling for him. If the panthers lose it would be my one consolation to see him go out on top, the way Elway did. As for a close game after almost giving up a 31 point lead last week 49 to 15 was still a nail biter to me !

Before this game I kept telling people it will be the Denver Broncos defensive line vs the Panthers offensive line, and after watching what they did to the Patriots, that was what I was expecting this game.

After finding out what a big head Cam Newton has, I was glad to see the Broncos win. That will make my cousins out in Denver happy. I didn't know much about the Panthers, and Cam Newton until the last couple of weeks, and I love seeing big head braggarts, especially young guys, get beat by a team led by an older more experienced Quarterback, that doesn't think he's God's gift to football. I was hoping to see a post game interview with Mr. Newton, to see what he had to say and if he got humbled a bit, but they never got around to talking to the losing team.
I'm also tired of the over the top touchdown celebration gyrations so popular anymore. I wish they'd start penalizing anyone that does any showboating for over a couple seconds. I always appreciated professionals like Barry Sanders and Walter Peyton that would score a TD, and then just get up and hand or toss the ball to the ref, then head to the sidelines. No showboating or anything, just doing their job. Although I did crack up at a Kansas City Chief that scored his first touchdown and ran over to the opponents sideline and got down on all four and hiked his back leg like a dog taking a whiz on them. At least that was funny.

We saw one of the all time great defenses cap off a great season by dominating the best offense in the NFL. Newton, like Brady, was no match.

I think it's great that Peyton won out and hopefully will walk away from pro football as a winner and a class act......The game to me was a bit boring with endless 3 and out punts back and forth but it did show that a really good defense will always win you a championship....By the way when I heard that Lady Gaga was chosen to sing the National Anthem I almost puked but after watching it I thought she did a good job with it and sung it in a tasteful fashion and I also noticed that Payton had his hand over his heart and Newton was just pulling on his pads and looking bored....Sometimes the good guys win

I had no opinion about Cam Newton until this game. I wasn't following the Panthers, so he was an unknown to me. I caught part of the game two weeks ago, and he looked good. But after watching the interview yesterday, and seeing his behavior during the game, unless he grows up, I hope he never gets a Super Bowl ring. He's an idiot.

Cammy hopefully learned a valuable lesson.......................a fumbled ball right in front of him, and he doesn't try to dive on it? Premadonna at his best. Didn't look like anything but a spoiled child. Unless he grows up, I'd trade his arse.........................

IF he didn't dive in for fear of getting his arms broken by a lineman also diving for it, that would be the only reason I'm ok with. We were always told to fall on a fumble- don't try to pick it up, that's how you get your arms broken.
Since he was standing upright, diving in hands first would have put him in danger of not being able to finish the game, a that point who cares who recovered the fumble.

Oh I got to see his post game interview, no flashy suit, no sequined loafers. Instead it was a hooded jacket with the hood pulled up over his head, and mumbling some very short answers, then getting up and walking out of the interview.
Like a spoiled kid that didn't get his candy bar at the grocery store.
Quite a difference from the "Gods gift to football" I had seen of other post game interviews on YouTube in his flashy suits, and crazy sequined loafers and a whole lot of self important attitude. Did anyone see his gold cleats with MVP 2016 on them that he wore in the pregame warm up? I just love it when someone with an attitude like that is on the losing team, and bears a lot of the responsibility for their bad offensive performance. And things like not diving for the loose ball. Whatever happened to the Walter Peytons and Barry Sanders, that went about doing their job, and acted like they were nothing special, and didn't showboat after every great play they made, and giving thanks too God for their abilities. Which was one of the things Manning did after the game - give thanks to the man upstairs. He definitely showed a lot more class that night. Acknowledging his team mates, coaches, and his family. He knows it took the whole team working as a team to get there. I think he would have even been gracious had they lost, just to have been the AFC Champs, and made the Super Bowl. It shows a lot about a persons character when they are on the losing side, and how they react. Kind of makes me wonder if there wasn't just a little bit Divine influence on that game, maybe in where the loose balls ended up and little things like that.

Yeah, I saw the video of Eli. I certainly hope he wasn't jealous because Peyton now has two SB victories too. I always thought the whole family was better than that.
