I put the Hogue grips on my K9. Love the way they look, but even though the sides are checkered they are slippery. My question is, has anyone had the back of these grips checkered? If so, who did it,was it done well, what was the cost and turn around time?

I didn't realize Houge had grips for the K series Kahrs. Good to know.

How are the stock Hogue grips slippery? Unless they changed the compound... My K9 bought brand new last yr came with hogue rubber grips & I don't think they're slippery at all...

I think he is talking about the wood grips.

Yeah Hogue makes the Kahr wood grips also. I checkered the back strap on a set for a fella and it worked well.
I was skeptical as I didn't want to recreate the cheese grater texture of the plastic grips but it was fine.

Might be able to recut the sides to make them a little more aggressive if need be also.

Probably could get it done on a weekend if the time is right. Price negotiable.

Oh, gotcha! I've got an original carbon steel K40 that I've been thinking about getting some wood grips for.
