Has anyone actually seen one of the burnt bronze guns that I assume comes from the factory? I let my CW45 go a while back and thought I'd use some tax $$ to replace it. Got on Buds (also available on GrabaGun) and saw for only $50-70 more a burnt bronze version. I see them on the Kahr website. I know folks have had it done post factory, but curious if anyone has seen a factory one. Thanks. PS: Should I spend the extra money for it?

I see a gun as a tool. What's important to me is reliability and accuracy. While I can appreciate ornate engraving, checkering and fancy finishes I wouldn't pay extra for them, but that's just me. You have to do what makes you happy.

+1 on functional. Corrosion resistance (stainless) also a plus.

If I liked the looks, I wouldn't have a problem with the extra $$. I saw one in person but just briefly. I like the regular stainless better.

There are some good photos of the bronze in this thread: http://www.kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?26559-I-love-my-new-CW45-Covert

Cool is priceless and fortunately cool is to the eye of the beholder, what blows my dress up might not blow yours up not that we want to dwell on that aspect at any length.
I'll pay large for cool. Function is important of course but there's no reason function and cool can't work hand in hand together as a functioning cool unit.
I'd have to see one of these in person. The link Greg posted the pictures don't completely blow my dress up but it did flutter a might. In person it might be a complete game changer.

Hit the nail on the head, Bawana. Hell, I could ride a Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, etc., and probably pay less than my Harley, but I pay for cool! Applies to guns also.

Harley is more than just cool. There is something about having that high torque big twin between your legs that gives you a whole different experience from any Japanese brand, no matter how hard they try to copy it, it's just not the same. Plus there is the brotherhood you have almost right off the bat when you meet other Harley owners, that doesn't happen with the other bikes. I have an old 92 Heritage Classic, that I had the motor sent to the factory for a rebuild, and had the heads shaved .060, and with put a Andrews cam, Mikuni Carb, Screaming Eagle High flow air cleaner, and Vance and Hines 2 into 1 Pro-Pipe exhaust on it, and added a few ponies to it, and that's about all I need. Some friends like to really go crazy and really soup them up, but since one of the guys that always had to have the fastest bike passed away, they haven't been so motivated to soup them up so much. It used to be a big deal for a some of them if they could outrun the guy, he always was bragging on how fast his bike was. Now it's more about having enough power for passing trucks or whatever without downshifting. About all I want to do with mine is add a 6 speed Baker tranny with OD, and have put a new front fender on where it got banged up a little.
