Finally made the jump today and purchased a PM9. All black with regular sights and want it for pocket carry. Researched Kahr's for months and was a little concerned after reading some of the issues that some have had with their guns. I read the tread about bringing new guns home and cleaning them up before shooting. I must tell you that after getting the gun, I walked with the box into the range and ran 100 rounds of 124g Speer Lawman though it without a single FTE or FTF. Really a nice handling gun, groupings were nice but I need to get used to the trigger. Been a Glock Guy for a long time. The only issue that I had was out of the three magazines, the slide would not lock back with one specific magazine. Any suggestions on cause and fix would be appreciated, just glad it is not an issue with the gun. Plan to clean her up and get back to the range again tomorrow night.

The trigger will get smoother with use... ending up smoother than the inside of yer girlfriend's thigh.

Your trigger control will improve (dry fire lots!)

Magazine function... clean the mag. Make sure there's no hang up in the follower. Make sure the spring is correctly oriented.

Failure to lock back is not uncommon for new Kahr's, and usually self corrects with some shooting (the recoil spring begins to take its set).

But, go thru the magazine checking the items above, since its inexpensive (and fun).

100% all of the above from CJB. The PM9 is a very good pistol. I would not part with mine for twice it's worth, as it has proven itself for me.

Enjoy!

Love my PM9 also! 100% out of the box. There's a bunch of those sweet shooters around here!

Gave it a good cleaning and lube today. Back to the range tonight to work trigger control.

Don't feel bad. I took a class from an XDs guy. He couldn't shoot my K40 either. But after a little practice... You're gold!

My extended 7 round mag that came with my pm9 never would run reliably. My flush 6 rounders are perfect though.

Installed one of the followers from Lakeline today and it fixed my issue on not locking the slide when empty. It's a shame that I had to spend 20 bucks to fix a 30 dollar part. Kahn should be better on quality control.

But then Alfonse would have nothing to do!

Hope you didn't buy the last one, cause Im still looking for a gun to buy, and it might be a PM9.

I just bought 3 followers a couple hours ago and they just shipped. My PM9 had zero failures of any sort but I think having a smoother cycling action of the first round can't hurt. I will provide a report after install and range day.

I recommend the PM9. Did a lot of research and finally made my purchase a couple weeks ago. I now have over 500 rounds through it with no issues. It has eaten everything I have fed it including an assortment of hollow points. My only issue was with the one magazine and the new follower from Landline completely fixed that problem.

I just took my new PM9 to the range myself, to get some "break in" rounds in. I shot 150 rounds. Some factory fmj, some factory defensive, and 100 of my reloads. I did not go through the whole cleaning routine that I generally do, as this range trip was rather sudden. I had exactly ZERO malfunctions of any type. Gun shot great. I was concerned about the "pinky dangle" with the standard magazine, but honestly it wasn't an issue at all. I shot some with the standard magazine and some with the extended magazine. Ran flawlessly. Here's one of my 8 shot targets. BTW, I strongly recommend the DeSantis Superfly holster for pocket carry.....it's close to perfect, in my opinion.
