Wondering about base and lock in metal, the threads seem very favorable regarding the followers. Any photos showing fit to grip on a K9?

AE0XXX since 1996, flawless

There are photos of grips mounted on a couple of different K9s on the product page, https://lakelinellc.com/shop/g10-grips-for-the-kahr-k9-and-k40/

I'm not sure what you are referring to on the base and lock, but maybe I'm not awake yet.

Thanks,
Al

Might be how the extended base attach's . One of my sigs mag has a set screw that you use to be sure it does not slide off .

I'm referring to the magazine base pad, not +1, that is shown on the Lakeline llc web page that is made from metal and the matching locking plate that is inside the bottom of the magazine with the pin on it. Do they fit like the later factory parts or like the early ones that my '96 model K9 came with that had air space between the grip and magazine base? Thanks

If I am looking at the same parts, those are plastic. I'm not familiar with the earlier factory parts, but all of the magazine parts have some gap between the pistol frame and the mag base. There is a certain amount of "over travel" that is allowed to make sure the magazine gets seated properly. I did try to minimize the gap and it is at least no worse than the latest factory parts.

Thanks Al, I replaced the original parts from "96 with new a couple of years ago (how's that for good plastic!) and the gap is smaller and more esthetically pleasing than the old parts and there is indeed a gap for emphatically seating the magazine. When I get the shekels I will convert to all metal in the mags and maybe see if Col. Bwanna might make some highly figured smooth wood grips. The original Hogue soft polymer has worn nearly smooth and when I said flawless earlier I meant it. We have had zero feed issues, no broken parts and it is more mechanically accurate the meat sack pressing the trigger. Just keep the springs changed, keep it kinda lubed and carry on.
Thanks again Al, look forward to doing business you.
