Does anyone use the Trigger Cover/Guard style Kydex "holster" for pocket carry? Does it work? It seems a trigger cover like this would be the ultimate thin (does not add any thickness when carrying), light weight (<.5oz), inexpensive ($10) holster you can get for concealed carry. The paracord can be attached to a belt loop, belt, purse, glove compartment, and when the gun is drawn/extracted from say from your pocket, the paracord pulls away the trigger cover. Yes, they work fine. But in a pocket the gun sits however gravity dictates, so it's hard to dig it out in a hurry.

Exactly JohnR. I was curious about this type and made one from kydex to try. The gun will turn in big pockets making it hard to get out. In tight pockets it will stay upright, but prints. Other than that, works as designed. Good luck to ya.

Covers trigger well and pops off well. However the cord often "gets in the way" during the draw.

Yeah, I was mostly worried about the cord getting tangled around the gun or my hand when trying to draw it. I'm gonna give one a try and see if it's workable. Thank you all for your inputs.

You can always remove the cord. Or shorten it so you have something to pull the kydex off with.

After front pocket carrying for many years now, wouldn't even think of using one. Have experienced all that can happen when trying to draw from a front pocket. Having a cord attached just complicates things. Under stress, not a good thing.................
