I have owned a P380 for 5 years and it has been flawless in its performance. The other day, I picked up a CW 380 and noticed on the side plate it has 2 screws instead of 1 as my older P380 has.

Just curious curious as to why ? In the break in procedure, I experienced no problems with it.

If you look at older pics of the P380, they also had only one screw. Sometime between "then" and "now" they changed the design. I do recall reading old posts of complaints about the side cover coming off.

Kahr doesn't seem to follow the standard in anything, and that's a good thing here in California. When S&W makes a minor change, even if its unnoticeable, they change the model number with a - revision, so a 686-2 becomes a 686-3. Now the 686-2 was on the California roster and can be sold in California, but the newer 686-3 isn't, and can't be sold in California until its drop tested.

I hate California. I know, I know..why don't we move....well the wife likes it here and the weather is great, so you put up with minor problems like earthquakes, tidal waves and dumb-ask liberals.
