Based on customer input, it looks like Kahr added the taper to the end of the slide, like the CW380 has, to the newest P380s. I just thought inquiring minds would want to know.

I wonder what prompted the change? My inquiring mind is spinning!

Probably just standardization. The PM and CW could share more parts if the slide, barrel, recoil assy, etc are the same length. It reminds me of how the PM9 changed after the CM9 came out.

I predicted this long ago.
The P380 and CW380 have slightly different barrel lengths. Are they changing the barrel as well?

What changed on the PM9 after the CM9 came out? If you mean the tapered nose, my PM9 has the longer slide tapered nose and was manufactured before the CM9 intro.

Just out of curiosity, did Kahr start shipping the P380 with the tapered slide? I prefer the original blunt nose slide. I also have a PM9 with the original blunt nose slide. I plan on picking up a P380 with in the next couple weeks and don't want to get stuck with the tapered slide.

The barrel length, guide rod length and slide length change by about .050". They must be shipping because end users have them.

Does anyone have pictures of the two different pm9 slides?
Nevermind, I found a picture of the blunt nose.

Well crap, I have a ding in the slide on mine and I was thinking of buying a replacement slide at some point. I guess now I'll have to do it sooner rather than later before all the old ones have dried up.

So I take it you don't like the look of the new ones?
That's not the issue. Having to buy a new barrel and guide rod as well is. I haven't even seen one of the new slides so I can't comment on the looks.

The guide rod should be the same, least if they're smart it will be the same.

It is the same as the CW380 now, about .050" longer than the blunt nosed P380.

I ordered one that was manufactured early 2015, so hopefully I should be good at getting a blunt nose P380.
