I was wondering if we could start a thread, if there isn't one already, that lists the various companies, or organizations that provide insurance should you have to use your gun to defend yourself or another person. Maybe give their name, website, and a little bit about them. I think it would be helpful to have a thread that lists the various places one can get Self Defense insurance if you are forced to use your gun. If this already exists, then maybe it could be bumped back up towards the top?

I know of US Concealed Carry Association, they offer 3 levels of membership, with costs of $147, $247, and $347, depending on the level of coverage you get.
They also have monthly payments available. They provide civil suit protection, of $250,000, $500,000, and $1,000,000, various levels of Attorney fees, bail bond, and help finding an attorney in your area. They also send out a decent magazine 8 times a year. Plus other benefits are available, that you can check out for yourself at:
https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/

I've belonged to this a couple times, and was thinking about rejoining, but I thought I might see if anyone had any other suggestions. Thank God I never had to use it, so I don't know personally how well it works, but they have testimonies of it helping people out of some nasty lawsuits and such. Of course they all would most likely have these testimonies.

If others could add a Name and Website and a short description that would be great.

Thank you in advance for those that choose to participate.

Unfortunately, there are people that think that they can use their home owners insurance. I checked with my agent when I first started carrying. They are one of the largest insurers in the nation. Their current policy is that there is no justified shooting, period. Didn't make me happy................................

Not for sure. When I'm having a bad day, I look at that an realize things could be worse.

For those willing to invest the time to make sense of all the "insurance" options, this document may be helpful.
