Just bought a used K9 from a LGS. In my neck of the woods, K9's are rare as hen's teeth. A few shops carry CW380, and CM9's, but anything else, you pretty much have to order on line.
,
Long story short, I bought an Alessie K9 belt holster used, hoping it would fit my PM45, no joy. The distance between the bottom of the trigger guard and the top of the slide is much greater on the PM45.
So I have a K9 holster with nothing to put in it.
Behold, a LGS has a used K9 for 489.00 one mag, no box, no papers. I get them down to 450 out the door. It's mine. I knew another LGS has a 7 & 8 round K9 mag in the "junk" box, ride over and get both mags out the door for 26.00. So I am now the proud owner of a K9 with three mags for 476.00. I feel good. Plus I already have a holster!!!!! I cleaned her up and lubed her well, she was dirty and dry.
Took her to the range and ran 100 rounds of American Eagle Ball, plus 25 rounds of Golden Saber 147 grn. No issues what so ever. This makes my 4th Kahr, and based on how the trigger feels, I think this gun has almost zero rounds down range. I am HAPPY . I don't know if I got a good price or not, I feel like I did, but too late to worry now.
Photos to follow.

Well done. It's great to see some renewed interest in the stainless Kahrs. They are truly the elite.

Sounds to me like you found a real deal both on the gun and mags. Enjoy.

Had to size them down a lot to get them on the site.
Looks like new, no wear marks anywhere. Me happy.:D

Nice rig! I yearn for an MK, but would settle for that for sure. Lucky dog.

you got a steal of a deal. now give it a good life and try to shoot the rifling out of that barrel! I just won a blackened K9 on GB, hope to have it by next weekend so I can do the same! My CM9 holsters run a touch long (PM9 sized) so think I've got that covered too.

One more, in the holster. This is my first Alessi Belt holster, has a few scratches, but very nice holster.

Looks great! I like that holster. Another K9 followed me home last week too. It is in similar shape although the barrel had some sort of weird, darkened look. It mostly came off with a little wheel polish, although I didn't polish the barrel as much as clean it.

Serial number starts with BF16 any idea what year that would be? Serial number sticky says BF12 is 2009, but I did not see anything after that.

Carry mine daily, and absolutely love the way it shoots. You will enjoy your second chance with a K9.
I purchased my K9 new early 2015 & it's been my EDC ever since.... came from the factory with true dot night sights

And great functioning as well.
I ordered a stainless steel guide rod & checkered wood grips for my K9 a couple days ago.... Just got the email from Kahr this morning.. Tracking number & they're on their way home!

Well... thought about buying one of those stainless guide rods, just couldn't pull the trigger. Instead went to Kahr site and bought a new stock guide rod and a new recoil spring. The old guide rod has some strange nicks on it. Installed both and off to the range, ran 150 rounds of Freedom Munition 115grn Reman round nose, no issues what so ever. I'm thinking to carry this one to work next week, just to welcome it to the family. (I have to admit, I feel a little under armed when only carrying 9mm pistols, it's a mental thing). I have never had any issues with the Kahr premium pistols, guess that's why they keep following me home.

Sent the Serial number to Kahr and found out the born on date is April 2010, looks pretty good for a 6 year old pistol.
Serial Number starts with BF16XX

You scored! Both with the new condition of your K9 and the price. I bought mine new a few years ago and paid a lot more here in CA. I love mine and carry it often (IWB) & have 5 mags for it. A firearms instructor at a local range offered to buy it but I declined.
