I have been fighting the usual new-to-C/C fight of trying to find a good holster that works for me. The original search was for my S&W Shield 9mm.
I finally found a good holster that works for me- a Milt Sparks Improved Baker (I-BAK) as shown here:

(http://www.miltsparks.com/products-i-bak.php)Fits me good, conceals well, and is comfortable. All that I was looking for.
Now I am wanting to holster my new T9. Contacted Milt Sparks again, since I was happy with the first one and spoke to them about ordering another one- this time for the T9.
They came back with a recommendation of their 55-BN, a 45 style holster-

I am skeptical of going with a different style- since it was difficult to find one that worked for me in the first place. I am 5'-7", 183 lbs- and slight overhangs on the beltline! :D
The 55-BN holster has the forward belt loop behind the holster, rather than out in front of it- like the I-BAK- which I would think would have a tendency to push the holster out further, hindering concealability I would think...
Any thoughts/comments/suggestions to help me decide whether to listen to my gut- or the advice of those who know their products better than I do???
Thanks-
Wes

Both of those holsters are quite nice but both also ride much too low for my personal taste. Being a full time sitter a low ride doesn't work for me.
One thing that I've learned though is that riding high is comfy and convenient regardless. Perhaps not quite as easy or fast on the draw but we spend far more time carrying the gun around on our hip than we do drawing.

My favorite and I'm kind of a broken record about it is a Mernickle PS6. Very minimalist, rides high, and his special little tab behind the belt keeps it tucked snugly into the rib cage.

I been wearing the one I have for 10 years or more everyday and it still pleases me to put it on everyday.

They make a lot of cowboy fancy quick draw holsters and stuff that cost more than my gun but top notch concealment stuff as well and excellent to deal with.

Hoping to meet Bob one of my trips to Reno but he's usually at a big annual gun show the times I'm usually there.
