Glock 18 meltdown. Interesting test until it melts:

IMHO tests like these are an exercise in pure stupidity.

But definitely entertaining! To bad he didn't have a metal guide rod or a Kahr.

He tested the "stock" pistol and replaced the guide rod with a metal one after it melted... around 700 rounds. I think that my plastic rods will last me a lifetime as I don't plan on intentionally overheating mine, but it's nice to know that normal rapid fire won't hurt the pistol.
The SGM mags seemed to be working well. I bought 20 each of the .40 and the 9mm one time for resale. The 40's were okay, but the mag retention slots on the right side weren't cut deep and forward enough to hold the mags in place. They would fall out after EACH shot. I used a razor knife and fixed the slots before the gun show the next day.
The test was interesting, though, and I worried he would have more cookoffs than he did. The guy was pretty safe in handling the pistol, all things considered.

#1.......Waste of good ammo...........#2..........Too much time on their hands......................#3...........Is this what they do down south when they're bored???????................#4.........Where a Gluck should end up................

I'm sure it's about advertising. The sites that do popular things make money through advertising.
After a few mags, I would want a little variety in targets.

Sometimes yes. Good thing is if the sheriff hears all the noise he'll come and want to shoot too.
But it is all about advertising as wyn said. Southerners hoard more ammo than they shoot just in case.

Wasting is in the mind of the beholder. I bet you would NOT make that claim about the full auto shoots in the desert, or maybe... If you got it shoot it otherwise...

Can't beat a Glock. I would like to see what any other handgun could do under similar circumstances. If I ever had to go into combat, I would carry a Glock as a sidearm. Probably the G19.

My opinion precisely of every Beretta aka High Point/Jennings/Raven ever made. Best left to the folks who know no better and who cannot be educated to the realities of life.

Those who can, do..................those who can't, teach............................................. .I don't like all Beretta's either, just the 92/96 series. Been around a lot longer than Gluck's. You Gluck owners are way too serious of a crowd...............one size fits few:o.

Full Auto handguns?
The Glock did well.
But I'll take a HK MP5.

Always wondered where all the flying empty brass went in them suitcase deals.
I got 2 MP5's in my armory, one a suppressed Navy set up. Both full auto, lots of fun.
Don't really use them anymore, talk of trading them off for a couple more AR's. I'd kind of like to keep them to play with now and then or just bring them home but that ain't gonna happen.
Definitely way more better than a 18, no contest.
I thought this was going to be about one of those crazy Internet break-in schemes. "Put it in the oven set at 400 degrees for 3 hours and it will shoot even better..."
