Hey Guys,
Dumb question time..... Will a Kahr CW-9 barrel fit and function in A CM-9???
i know Kahr does not recommend it..... But I would kinda like to use my CM-9 as a suppressor host....
and CM-threaded barrels seem to be unobtainium! So I am thinking pick up a used CW-9 barrel and have it theaded!
Thanks!
Fred

From top to bottom K9, P9(like CW9), and PM9(like CM9). Differences are too great... won't fit or lockup with slide or frame.

OH, crap..... Best laid plans of mice , and men!!! I guess the only option would be some place Like Tornado Tech, who can extend the stock barrel, mike did that once for me a few years ago, for a Walther P-5! Not a cheap option, but he did nice work!
Thanks for the Pic, I almost "pulled the trigger" on a CW9 barrel on eBay..... You Saved me $90!!!!
Thank You!!!

You're welcome Fred. I had made the comparisons years ago, so I can access the photos quickly.

FYI: check state laws about suppressors. Here in CA, they are not legal.

But any gun with a threaded barrel is? From the CA DOJ site:
(4) A semiautomatic pistol that has the capacity to accept a detachable magazine and any one of the following:
(A) A threaded barrel, capable of accepting a flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer.
(B) A second handgrip.
(C) A shroud that is attached to, or partially or completely encircles, the barrel that allows the bearer to fire the weapon without burning his or her hand, except a slide that encloses the barrel.
(D) The capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip.

Well, if you have a threaded barrel gun before these rules, or passed down from parents, then you can still own the gun. But can't use a suppressor with it.
