View Full Version : Two in the basement

I think I've mentioned before that we have a LGS with a used gun factory in their basement. If you don't see it in the counter, just ask. It's probably down in the basement. Well I've also mentioned that I've been pining for a PM9 blunt...what with summer carry on the horizon and all...but it had to be a blunt! So I finally wandered into said LGS. I've probably been avoiding them because I was hell-bent on stealing one vs. actually paying fair price. And I figured I'd get out clean today because I didn't see one in the cases. But I had to ask. Down the stairs they went and brought up two. One with dim night sights. The other with regular sights and a scratch. Well I'd rather deal with the scratch instead of buying new night sights. And I plan on wearing this one 'till it looks like CJB's PM45 anyways. And they negotiated their usual fair price. And I just had to update my signature. It's a good day in NE Ohio.
P.S. I coulda scratched this itch months ago if I just would have gone in there sooner. There's another one if you are looking. ;)

Thanks. By the looks it was somebody's daily carry. But it will clean up great. It's an oldie = got the pinned trigger bar spring cover instead of the screw. I cannot wait to get it thru the break in. It's like nothing on your belt. And I might break down and pocket carry some too. Never say never.

Seems like no matter how old you get, or how many guns you've had, a new (or used) one added to the family brings new enthusiasm. Christmas in March!

I think you've stumbled on to one of the mysteries of life.
Don't seem to matter how many you got, getting a new one gets the blood pumping.
I could use a little boost sometime soon.

I just checked Gunbroker and let's just say it was cheaper OTD than any of the ones listed on there now that have less than 2 days left on the bid counter. But it should be because it is indeed an old pistol. It will function like new. But it's old. I paid fair money IMHO. But I certainly didn't steal it. Another LGS had 3 of them recently and have sold 2 of them north of $600. I passed on those. Another member recently posted finding one for around $300. I'm not that lucky. ;)

Good job bud. Glad you found your blunt. I pocket carry mine daily, everywhere I go.

What makes you think that old muggsy would be pissed off if you polished your barrel? I couldn't care less how anyone treats their guns. It's no skin off my nose. Whatever trips your trigger, b4. :target: :p

^^^ :D I didn't polish but I did clean it tho. It was filthy as was the entire gun. It wasn't just a little after firing fouling...it was deep down tarnished steel dirty. The nice thing about Kahrs is that crud comes right off with a little elbow grease. I'm thinking you have a better chance for your gun to run right if it's clean.
