Hey. Awhile ago I had a neat little Maglite Solitaire but it was only about 3 lumens. Great for your pocket but it needed to be brighter. Well now the other day I found the 47 lumen version of the Solitaire at Walmart. Only about 10 or 12 bucks IIRC. And bright enough to be useful. FYI.

I've got one of the old dinkers in my tackle box................was good because you could hold it in your mouth to stay hands free when handling fish.

I had one years ago but never really used it because it was so dim. Looks like I'll have to try one again next time around a Walmart.

Try the LED Lenser K1. 1 1/2" long 3/8" diameter and 17 Lumins. About $10.
Or the Fenix E01. 3" long 1/2" diameter and 13 Lumins. About $10.
They both have the same brightness, but the Fenix has the advantage of using a single AAA battery.

^^^ thanks for the suggestions. My Fenix E11 is still one of my favorites = one AA battery size. The Solitaire is a single LED, single AAA battery size like that E01. I like to carry a flashlight in my front pocket so small is a real good thing. Small and bright is even better.

I'll have to check them out. Has the Maglite quality returned to it's former level? For several years they were junk.

This one seems fine. But it hasn't been thru the washing machine test yet like my Fenix. :)
