About a week after the Desert Storm cease fire went into effect 25 years ago, one of my son's friends was driving a US Army transport truck up the so-called "Highway of Death" in Kuwait. He pulled over so he & his buddy could check out the carnage a little closer and found this unscathed body armor vest to keep as a souvenir. Apparently it didn't do its previous owner much good, but at least there is no blood on it. He passed it on to my son, who gave it to me. It's been hanging in the hall closet for 20 years, ready for use in case Mrs. Brat gets too put out with my attitude. (wonder if it repels frying pans?)

Made in New Jersey:

That's cool. I find my old football helmet useful when the pans start flying.
