I got the email from them and just clicked to see what they were asking for a "man-teddy". Yeah, April Fools Day... got me, too, but it was kind of a neat joke.

Yeah. OK. Fine. :2rolleyes:

I went to check out the joke, and found out there was an actual 20% off sale on some Duluth clothes I was needing to get. $130 later, maybe I got "April Fooled" in a whole different way!

Their stuff is all I have bought the past couple years, and I really like it. Look to keep and eye out for sales and free shipping, and then it is just ridiculously expensive. Really like it, though, and it FITS and LASTS better than anything from the stores (which I hate to go into anyway!)

BTW, their flex fire hose pants are my everyday concealed carry wear for pocket carry of my CW380 or CM9. Perfect solution for me with an Alabama kydex holster.

I really like their polos and tees for CCW... prefer the longer tails for untucked & easy access to my IWB concealed carry.

After a bit of research, I switched to their Men's Buck Naked Performance Briefs @ $19.50 each. I've always waited for the best deals sales and discounts... quantity and clearance, etc. + hitting the free shipping threshold and no taxes.

I've managed to buy 5 or so pairs at a time and paid about $13 a pair, give or take a few cents. This is a big departure for me, since I was used to buying Hanes in the 8-9 packs for less than $10 a package. I would buy 3-4 packages and rotate them with use to make them last longer. Those never had the support I wanted, and the last time I bought some, I had lost around 40 pounds and went with the Small size... a bit tight at first, but better support. I gave my son all of my rather new medium ones.

Oh, let me add that we wash the briefs in the machine, but line dry them inside the utility room to make them last and not ruin the elastic.

I tried several expensive brands and was not happy with the cost or support.

I really got into this change from all-cotton to synthetic material because of survivalist/prepper thinking... wanting stuff that would not hold moisture and would dry quickly... and feel good.

I don't know if you ever watched the Survivor series on TV where this one guy Rupert started the show wearing jeans. They tossed everyone off a boat and they had to swim to shore. He learned quickly that heavy denim wasn't a good choice for the weather and moisture conditions they endured. Someone made him a kilt from his jeans. Anyhow, comfortable shoes, merino wool-blend socks(Costco best deal 4 pair for $12!), and underwear and clothes that wick away moisture and dry quickly became musts for me.

I try to keep some stuff in my van, because I wear shorts and polos and clogs the year around down here in NE Florida, and I don't want to have to hoof it or wear too light clothes in cooler or wetter weather, especially long distances, so good shoes and socks are a must!

I know this is TMI for many folks, but too many people don't give enough thought to the real adequacy of their everyday clothing for possible survival use.

Anyhow, I wait for really great deals at Duluth and Lands End(shorts and tees and polos) for most of my everyday wear.

Wynn :)

I'm kinda with you on the useful/comfortable clothing thing. I work in a very warm environment, and cotton doesn't work. +1 on the Merino and synthetics. If I would wear cotton socks, my feet would protest!

I have a pair of Duluth's Ballroom Jeans. They are terrific. I have been contemplating their Buck Naked underwear but I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something exotic.

I don't know what gabardine is but I hope it's thick and not transparent. Cover not concealment.
