Need To Order Dawson Precision Fiber Optics or XS Outdoor Big Dot?

My eyes need help picking up that ole front sight.

Looking for options.

Anybody know what Dawson front fiber optic sights to order for an older MK9 and PM9. Both are the old style dovetails:

Just want to know what height and width to order for each.

I know there are some XS Outdoors fans out there. Can you match your accuracy with three-dot or bar dot sighting systems with them? Big or standard dot?

+1 on nice but flimsy. I have never had fiber optics on a pistol, but I have used them on trap and skeet 12gages...
I treat those shotguns real nice but have lost more than one fiber sight under recoil. Makes me shy of them on an EDC gun if the SHTF.
I voted XD as its an SD sight system and they are local to me, about 15 miles up the road.
Shrug, your mileage may vary.

A member from Seattle! It was nice in Washington today. I really like the XS sights for a self-defense gun. I don't do as well at the range with them and tend to string things out a bit vertically. But, for a charging bad guy that might not be such a bad thing.

Just me personally. Fiber optics just don't seem to do it for me. I would rather use my favorite nail polish and paint a post front sight.
I prefer "dot the i" sighting system over the 3 dot sights. I shoot XS big dot sights just as well,and the absence of Tritium on the rear sight does not bother me.

I love fiber optic sights on my gaming guns. I've got them on four different pistols...just put a set of Dawson's on my wife's new PPQ, but again for competition stuff. They work great outdoors, or indoors if you have good overhead light. We prefer green fiber optics...I understand that the human eye sees green quicker/easier than red.
But for home defense? A fiber optic pretty much is just a black post in low or no light.

I have the XS Big Dots on my HK. Dot the I, just like the Kahr. I find them to be very accurate.

I have fiber optic sights on my Browning slug gun and both of my Ruger Mark IIIs and they work very well. I've never had a problem with them. For a combat gun I prefer XS big dots.

As usual I'm the black sheep of the family - LOL!
Although I run XS Big Dots on most of my defensive guns.
Ordered my MK40 Elite with factory three dot NS.
Love those sights on that gun and have no intentions of changing them.
