Already found a wealth of info, thanks to everyone...
Now my first question, Is the mag release reversible on P380?
2nd Thinking about new sights on P380 - how difficult are the existing ones to remove?

Welcome to the forum!

The mag release is not reversible. My P380 is at my side... IWB at home and about the house, or for max concealment when I leave the house. My usual carry is my Mag-na-ported P40, though.

On a P380 both sights are dovetail mounted. If you have a way to push them out it should be pretty easy. Otherwise a local gunsmith will be able to do it.

When things get tough a pal of mine (Marine) tells me: "Adapt, improvise and overcome". Thanks for your service Joeree. Welcome.

Kahr sights are a bear to remove. Beating on them with a hammer and punch will ruin them. You need a good quality sight pusher to do the job properly.

I know Muggs cannot defend himself, but I really need to say, Kahr sights are tight, but... the trick to moving them is to make sure the slide his held well, in a heavy vice. You're lap, a table top, clamped between two boards, or some light weight vice wont do. Think in terms of an 40lb, 8 inch cast steel vice, connected to a 150lb bench. A brass punch and fairly light hammer will move them then, usually pretty easily, because the slide will be dead stationary. If folks go the sight pusher route, it better be a stout one.... puny one's will just break, which is why I prefer the heavy vice, brass punch and light hammer.
