Well, at least it wasn't leaking out all over is shirt! Try cutting into a Harley transmission and see how well it works after the gunk is squeezed out. We are awesomely made!

I repaired a mower engine, an upright Briggs (maybe 5hp) that had water get into the crankcase. The oil looked almost exactly like that when I pulled the plug on it. And, the crank, the cam, everything inside... rusted up bad. But, in typical Britts & Scrapiron construction, the damn thing worked, jeeze... at least ten more seasons till it grew legs and walked away on night.
