Wanted to post a new thread to give an extra shout out to Alfonse. Ordered a Lakeline Striker on Monday night. Was in my mailbox this morning. With the use of the included instructions and a little help from YouTube (although Alfonse, you may want to verify your links as I couldn't get them to work) I was able to remove my old striker from my P380 and replace it with the Lakeline version. The old striker and channel were pretty black, so I cleaned them out. I don't know if there is anything wrong with the old striker by looking at it, but I know that I was able to head over to the range and send 75 flawless rounds down range including 50 Remington UMC (which had given me problems) and 25 rounds of my Hornady Zombie (which is a great way to practice for my Critical Defense with a round that is identical, yet usually cheaper in my area.) I once again feel comfortable carrying this pistol and trusting my life to it. Now I just have to figure out what to do about the shipping label Kahr already sent me. It shouldn't cost them anything until it's scanned it at FedEx, right?

Hold on to it, in case you need it for something else.

Is there a black market for shipping labels?

Good follow up BTW.

Thanks for the kind words and business! There is a .pdf version of the instructions on our website, and the links work fine from there. I'm glad you got everything working well again and thanks.

I, too, replaced my striker with a Lakeline. P380 has occasional FTRBs - not too bad and usually only after it got dirty ~75 rounds or so. I put in a magguts and each and every magazine I now had light strikes with the second to last round - just one left in mag - every time. I wanted to use the magguts (even tried a second - exact same problem). I then put in the Lakeline - I now have over 300 rounds thru it - not one single problem of any kind, nothing - it just fires!

Now, my striker channel was pretty gunked up when I replaced it, and I have switched my oil to Gun Butter (changed from Frog Lube), but, the P380 is now flawless. BTW, I am using Speer Lawman ammo for range practice exclusively.

You aren't supposed to lubricate the striker channel. It should be maintained clean and dry. Any type of lubricant will attract dirt, dust, burnt powder residue etc. Read the manual or the sticky on lubricating your Kahr pistol.

Yeah, I know. It was a used gun - guess over the years it got lube or some sort of crap in there. I changed away from Froglube on the rest of the gun - not the striker channel which is now nice and clean - and DRY.

125 more rounds this afternoon (Speer Lawman). Not a single anything except for bang. All issues with FTRB and everything else are still gone. This is the way things are supposed to work.

Here's my .02 if you're having problems - clean and dry the striker channel (and while apart clean out the ejector channel), replace the recoil springs, lightly lube as Kahr recommends, replace the striker with Lakeland (may not be necessary, but sure isn't hurting anything), and throw in the mag guts for +1 (again, probably not necessary, but nice to have an extra round). Oh, and lube with Gun Butter (from Glockstore).

While I have zero rounds on my Lakeline upgrades so far, I will say the quality is superb, just as good if not better machining than the Kahr parts, and when I was concerned about the shortness of the replacement guide rod (older P380), even though the stock one was the same length, he allowed me to exchange it for the longer one. It's a little more difficult to get installed compared to stock, but is completely captured by the slide at all times, unlike the stock one.
