Liked some of his stuff, back in the day. Hate to see anyone go so young.

Jeez, no fans here! I'm not a fan either, but man.... IMO, just another freak who died of an overdose.

I was never a fan but heard it was complications from the flu....is that in fact true?

They said he acted like he had the flu. Had a drug overdose a few days before. they're doing an autopsy on him. I think it was complications from drugs.

My wife liked his music, me, not so much. I hate it whenever she plays his stuff. Kind of scary for me, he's only a year older than my wife.

My son congratulated me on living longer than Prince.
I watched the video of him doing a Super Bowl halftime show in a driving rain storm in Florida. I didn't even know it rained in Florida.
I heard flu, never heard nothing about drugs but guess we'll know soon enough.

Erotic City is my favorite song of his. Sad to see him go so young. Wonder what's the actual cause of death

None of his music in our house or our two girl .
Prince died ? Oh well , life goes on . One less odd little tiny musician .
Now back to something , anything worth while !!

Britain's The Sun, as trustworthy as the Enquirer, said it was an opiate overdose.
My main connection to Prince is he went to the same high school as my dad, though a few decades apart.

No, drug overdose. I ran into him a couple of times, what a freak.

Spent most of my adult life in Tampa FL.
Annual rainfall rivals Portland OR (where I lived for 3 years with my rattlesnake of a second wife).
It definitely rains in Florida.
Just comes down differently.
In the summer, around 3PM, it would rain like hell for about 45 minutes every day - LOL!
Phoenix AZ is ok.
But I really miss Tampa.:(

There is more sad news from the music industry.
Kanye West was found alive in his apartment earlier today.

Amen to that!
I hear that Prince and Michael Jackson are currently decomposing a new song together.....Several folks I work with were all broken up over Prince passing saying how great he was but as far as I'm concerned it's just one less self absorbed little weirdo in this world sucking up good oxygen....

Minnesota isn't missing much..........................................a Puerto Rican midget with a 4 year old girls voice.................some how I just don't see the attraction. Considering the Super Bowl entertainment the last 10 years, well, saying he was the best is a joke. They've been all bad.........................

I would have never believed Prince would last so many posts on this forum. Quite diverse subjects we discuss!

Just another prescription abusing druggy , nothing special lost .
And guys like Lonnie McIntosh with better than 50 years of influencing others dies and no one seems to notice !!
How about we get back to far more important topics now . Like how the garden growing , its time to mow again or when the hell is the gen 2 going to be in gun shops !!

He was after my time so I'm not a real fan or expert. But some misconceptions here. Strange without doubt, but a freakishly talented and dedicated songwriter, performer and instrumentalist. One of the best guitar "shredders" ever. Check the superbowl halftime performance (in the rain) on you tube. Drugs were never his rep, I heard he was Jehovah Witness, and his party "rules" included no alcohol and no cursing. But evidently he had been taking pain killers last few years.
