I do have a Kahr and like it, so please don't send me away. I spent a lot of time lurking on another forum but they're not family.
I have only the 7rd mag that came with dad's Colt LW Commander .45 ACP in 1978 and it has wimpy springs compared to my PM9. I want to carry it for a few days to see what it's like, but want spare mags to go with it.
Since these mags will be in my mag slotted pocket they can be any size so why not the 10rd CA max? My question comes down to which brand feeds Federal HST and other JHP perfectly in 10rd size?
I've looked at a few mag sites and they all have the pretty words but then I read the mag wars over this one or that. I'm cannon fodder over there, but trust you guys to lead me on the true path to 1911 enlightenment.

I'm a devout fan of Wilson mags myself. The 47D. You can get it with base pads (think they come that way) or you can get more flush steel bases. I carry a flush steel in the gun and the padded extended ones for spares.
I got a couple 10 rd Chip McCormicks from somebody here, my memorys not working but they work very well too.
The wilson's also work perfectly in my PM45 and lock the slide back when empty like they were made for it.

I looked at the Wilson and the McCormick. Do they both feed JHP without problem?
Hey just had a thought, if the 10rd McCormick work and you don't want them, are they for sale? I'm looking for a pair with the bumpers.

Hmmm for sale? I kind of bought them using the same logic your using. They fit in the same pouch so they are easy when you want a few extra bullets.
Let me ponder this idea some. I have a dozen or more Wilson's, the McCormicks are great at the range, few more shots between reloads.
Wilson also makes 10 rounders but I don't have any of those.
Let me kick this around in my head some.
As to your first question they feed everything without problem. Usually a 1911 that's acting up some will run good with these mags.
