Does anyone have any experience with the Undercover? Really looks good on paper. Thanks!

I believe he is talking about the Magnum Research Desert Eagle 1911 U, "the Undercover". Here is a review:

Yup. That's the one. Thanks for the link. Read everything I could find now I need to shoot it or find others out there that have.

My two cents, but here goes....

Any undercover Colt .45 Auto (aka 1911), should not have an adjustable trigger, extended thumb safety, big ass whale tail in the back, nor sights that stick out like the wart on a witches nose.

Other than that... hey.... go for it!

Welcome to the forum. I would compare the MR "U" with the Para Ordnance PXT slim Hawg. Very similar in features at about half the price.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestion! Just sold my Para CCW. I really like them but mine sure didn't hold its value. I'm thinking it would be the same with the MR though.

I used to carry a PM9. In a round about way through Kahr I found MR and Dessert Eagle...and the U. I may buy one just to be the only one that owns it!

I've got one on layaway. I was really impressed with it as soon as I held it in my hand! The trigger is amazing! The fit and finish are very nice. The grip is a little fatter than other compact 1911's I have handled, but that is what I liked about it. I have large hands so it fit me just right.
