OUCH: Fox Just Got MASSIVE Bad News… They’re Paying for All Those Trump Attacks
Fox News has been kicking ass and taking names (http://conservativetribune.com/fox-smacked-down-msnbc-again/) since its founding two decades ago, mostly because its reporting was some of the least tainted by mainstream news bias out there. Sure, there was some bias, but the content was still pretty reliable.
Then, early last summer, Donald Trump entered the race for president, and most of the people at Fox News seemed to lose their uplink to reality.
What followed was a nearly year-long orgy of establishment-inspired paranoia, accusing Trump of pretty much everything aside from killing John F. Kennedy.
Even as viewers protested over the anti-Trump hysteria coming out of the formerly “fair and balanced” network, Fox doubled down, saying that Trump had a “creepy obsession” with Megyn Kelly — an anchor who had essentially flat-out called him a bigot.
Where has that left the network? Well, less than a year later, CNN is beating Fox in the ratings in prime time.

“CNN ranked #1 in cable news in prime time in April. CNN beat Fox News for the fifth time in the last eight months in M-Su prime time (four of the past eight in M-F prime) among adults 25-54,” a statement (http://cnnpressroom.blogs.cnn.com/2016/04/26/cnn-1-in-cable-news-in-prime-time-beats-fox-news-for-5-of-the-past-8-months/) from CNN read.
“The last time CNN had this many prime time wins in an eight-month period versus Fox News was over 14 years ago (Nov. 2001).”
Yes, that’s right. A network that 8 out of 9 people stuck in airport lounges wish they weren’t watching actually beat out Fox News in prime time.
And keep in mind, that’s not the result of major changes at Ted Turner’s yawn-inspiring baby. CNN’s prime-time lineup still consists of Erin Burnett (who?), lachrymose silver fox Anderson Cooper and noted provocateur Don Lemon (http://conservativetribune.com/cnn-instantly-ends-segment/).
And also keep in mind, this wasn’t the result of any incipient lurch leftward. You’ll note that MSNBC was still mired in last place, fighting for ratings with amateur roller derby on public access.
One of the reasons behind this is that CNN, while far from being fair to Trump, has covered his campaign as an actual phenomenon. This is in contrast to Fox News, which has treated it like a disease-bearing mosquito that needs to be killed as efficiently as possible.
Sorry, Fox. Looks like your viewers are going elsewhere for “fair and balanced” news.
