Wrds cannot express my feeliings at this time BUT WE LOST MUGGSY friday evening. He was fighting a tuff battle and was taking anutter drug to see if he could beat this lung cancer. It developed into Pneumonia and complications with his cancer was just to much for him to fight off. He passed away Friday evening. His wife was there thru all of this. The hospital did all they could . I had just talked to him Thursday and he hagggled me like he always does and told me he was in the hosptial with pneumonia, but he would be home the first of the week. He had these past two weeks even been working on his new boat that he was finally going to try to put it in the water and then this happened.
This forum lost a nice guy, sure he was canterous, but that was Muggsy to. Thats why he and I got along so well also. I have no doubt he is in a better place and to his wife Debbie, this forum is truly saddened by all of this.
I lost a really nice friend that I HAD NEVER MEET, but I was planning on riding over this summer to surprise him once I felt he was capable of seeing anyone. It was not meant to be.

Muggsy will be sorely missed. His unique insight was treasured by many here, including myself. Thank you for filling us in, Jocko. One of a kind, he was.
RIP Muggsy.
There's a hole in the internet that ain't gonna mend, on account of his passin'.
He was a tough, cantancerous galoot, but a good egg, that stuck to his guns through thick 'n thin.
He was a great guy to have bust my balls, because he could take what I threw back, and vice versa. I think we spar'd well, and I will miss that to no end. Not a word of it was personal, and behind the scenes we traded our moments of civility, not wanting to disrupt our online personas.
A short list of memorable quotes:

yes he was definitely a man of principals. He and I went round and round on political things and most of the time he was right, but I just would never let him know that. He used to tell me to go fokk myself so many dan times that aftr awhile I even loooked forward to it. He has a beautiful never been in the water 40 foot boat sitting in his driveway that is gonna be looking ffor a new home. He was a x navy guy you know. I know Muggsy is watching me, so to commerqate his passing and his new home, he would want me to tell the forum to GO FOKK YOURSELF. Just sayin

I truly think his death at that time was a surprise to him also. Just that thurwsday he wrote me to say he was in the hosptical with pneujmonia but would be home saturday, and I believe he meant that to. As he was so so excited about finally gettig his new boat in the waterr, No doubt it was alot more complications at that time that brought him down, pneumonia on top of what his illness was had to be a factory. His wife told me that had he even been able to come home he would have been on oxygen 24/7 and he would have never liked that at all. yes he is in a better place. I just hope to heh that God does not let him near a computer. Just sayin

Seems like an appropriate time to make my first post...
I've been lurking here for a while. This was the catalyst to finally encourage me to join.
I've done alot of research in this forums' archives. Muggsy was there. Quite a contributor in all forms, because I've lurked in the political topics as well, and was pleased to see his sentiments matched mine almost exactly. Yes, indeed. Never Trump.
I've been apart of Web forums for nearly 15 years. Like already stated, every forum has their muggsy. Even as a noob, there's no doubt that this forum has lost a big hunk of its character with the loss of muggsy.
Lastly, I want to say that I lost my dad to lung cancer a few years ago. That's a difficult battle to fight for anybody, but once it's over, and that person can finally rest...it's comforting that there's finally peace.

u are right on that, he contacted me every day while in Florida, to keep me posted on the forum and his health. If we texted once a day it was a dozen times . I know he enjoyed hammering me all the time to . I got a ice text from his wife Debbie thanking me for keeping in touch with him thru these hard times and to thank the forum which she said was his second home. Many here don't know but ol Deithrich brough a special SOMETHING to this foprum back then, although he was never a cantankerous person, but both will leave a lasting memory on this forum. Tinman was a special person on this forum, he had such a great way of putting som e photo on that just made you laugh all the time. I was the subject of his hilarious photos many times that it was fun to see what he was gonna post. I really iss Tinman as many here have. I never felt he left the forum mad or anything like that as he was never controversial. He IMO would have bowed out gracefully if that was his intentions. Life is short guys.

most of u followers know of my problems when down in florida this past winter with the vandaliziang of my motorcycle and the destruction to my front fender that was autogrtaphed by Willie G (Davidson) in 2013. well since I got back home here in Indiana, and haver all the new damaged parts replaced back on my Harley, I decided to send the photos to Willie G to see if he would considcer signing my bike again. Instead of sending the new fender to him I suggested I send the right and left side covers off my Streetglide for him to sighn. I figured if they beat my bike again and damage the front fender that the side covers will go undamaged.
He wrote me a month ago and was very upset to see the photos of my fender and saqid sure send the side covers and he will sign themn. Well I got them back this last friday and low and behold did he not only sign the side covers but his son Bill Davidson 9great great grandson of Founder) also signe dthe side covers along with his dad Willie G.
Ol Muggsy lways kept on this story with me and wanted picutres when I got those covers back,. Sorry to say the photos came the day he passed away. So for me when I look at those side covers, it will always remind me of the day and Igot them back and the dayt I lost a good friend. Just sayin

Yeah I think it's high time since he learned how to take a picture to give us a picture of his whole bike. Are we allowed to call Harley's bikes?
Also a picture of his wife's bike would be good to. Maybe a picture of her bike with her on it.
I do have a picture of ole Jocko surrounded by Hooters girls. I didn't lose that one.

thanks colonl on the bike photos, I appreciate that. I had that phgoto of Muggsy also but could not find it. He was a shooter and he knew kahrs to, and he could be a real PITA and I guess that was why he and I GOT ALONG SO DARN GOOD. i STILL find myself checking my emails and texts for MUGGSY stuff, as he and i texted a dozen times a day. He was a real Ted Cruz fa and I a DONALD, so you can figuyre he was into my crap every day about this to. I regret that I did not get tyo go to cleveland to see him.
who says u can't find a good friend on the internet???Our past ol buddy Dietrich was certainly in that category.
Wife and I shoot anutter 300 rounds at the range yesterday, she with her 43 and ol jocko with his trusty PMJ9. As usual she made e look real bad at the range. Just no way I can shoot my PMJ9 as good as I can that G43, but as I have said before, when it comes timetostick one in my pocket the PMJ9 rules- BIGTME...
again thanks colonel for posting mytwo bikes photos, theCVO STREETGLIDE is a 2010 and just hit 60K miles this past month, the wifes bike is a 2011 streetglide with now 44K on it. We do ride um like we stole um..

Beautiful bike Jocko, I love the colors. Makes my old bike look blahh.
Bawanna
05-19-2016, 05:06 PM
Sure don't look blah to me Jeepster. I like the color.
For some reason I look at these and envision myself pinned under it when it falls over on me. Crying like a little baby as the hot exhaust burns into the flesh of my legs.
Wait, I probably wouldn't feel it. No worries mate. Life is good.
I remember cleaning up a bit in my garage and found my son's Sportster in my way and in need of a new location.
I thought long and hard and decided how tough could it be moving in small increments. Bad idea.
I moved it just a tad and the damn kickstand folded up. My oh my, now what. I probably held that bike up for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to get the kickstand back down. I was ready to accept defeat and just let it go when I finally managed to balance and reach down enough to hook it and get the stand down.
I just left it and went in the house.
Kid tried to play tough guy and told me not to touch it, told him to put it outside under a blue tarp.
Quick attitude adjustment and all was well.

I was gone for a while, back for a short spell now. This post resurfacing today is the first I've learned of Muggsy's passing.
Genuine sorrow overcame me at first read as I absorbed every post within this thread.
May he forever rest in peace. I'm apologetic in its delay yet I humbly extend my condolences to his wife, family and entire circle of friends.
Peace be with you Mugsy, friends and family, just received word of him leaving this earth plane and appreciated his vast knowledge that was openly shared.
On a side note... there has been cures for cancer going back a long time but the industry has other plans. Now almost 100 natural Dr's and healers in a short period of time, whom helped many also are no longer with us and not one conviction.
This too shall pass and good wins in the end.
Stay healthy and safe friends and remember to tell those close to you they are loved and appreciated.
