CT 380 barrel in cw380?

Just a thought. Does anyone know if the ct380 barrel will fit in a CW380? If so, is there enough material to thread it for a suppressor?

He said he would test fire the CT380 barrel in a CW380, but I didn't find a follow up post in regards to the that. You might want private message him about it.

Well, the Kahr product site spec sheets say the CT barrel is 3" and the CW's is 2.58", leaving .42" of said CT tube to stick out from the front of the CW slide.

At least one would think so. However, I have no idea how much threading is needed to properly anchor a can for a .380.

The problem is the angle cut of the "bushing" area of the slide, which may not be great enough to allow the longer barrel to be intruduced into the slide. Might want to find a shooter with a CT380 and try the barrel.

As for the threading, the "length" published by Kahr is often not quite on the money. That is, the 3" barrel may only be 2.90" or something like that. It may be 3.09" for all I know... same thing on the CW 380... but... I'd imagine that any threading will want to be at least "square", or that is, as long as its diameter, or longer. And, keep in mind you need a shoulder to seat the threaded accessory onto, so that eats up a bit of room, just for clearance sake.

Take you're .42 nominal inches, subtracyt .010 for the shoulder - allowing clearance between the accessory and the front of the slide, and you've got .320" or just a RCH over 3/16 of an inch. Not much.

Nice research. I didn't even think of lack of material in barrel length. I was wondering if there's even enough material to cut threads without cutting into the rifling. After looking at measurements, both should be considered.
