I'm interested in getting Federal HST 180 gr for my new PM40, but before investing the money I was wondering if anyone has any experience with that ammo in the PM40 (reliability, accuracy, etc). Thanks!

...or the 155 gr version.

HST always feeds great in my CM9. HST did not feed well in my CW45 or CW9 until I bought the Lakeland followers. Now it is my carry round in all 3 kahr's. No experience with the PM 40 cal.

My PM40 has occasional FTF with 155gr and 180gr HSTs. Federal 155gr Hydra-Shoks, Federal Classic 155gr JHP and Winchester 180gr Ranger Ts have done the best. The Hydra-Shoks, Classics and Rangers have a more sloped bullet profile as opposed to the rounded profile with the HSTs.

HST's feed perfectly in my CM40. The 180 gr is my EDC round. Excellent self-defense ammo.
