Hello All,
New forum member from Michigan.
i had been looking for a pocket pistol for roughly 5 months, started looking at getting an LCP, but found the trigger to be as bad or worse then the LC9 I got rid of years ago. After doing some research online, I determend that the cw380 seemed like a good choice. Only problem is I couldn't fine one around here. Then while I was deciding to order one or not, the prices went up from $330 to $360 making me reconsider the little Kahr, as when I started Looking at the LCP, the prices where right around $200.
Well luck was on my side, about a month ago, I was in local gun shop and they had a cw380 Tungsten in the used case for $230.00.
I was able to shot two mags. through her at their indoor range. She was very tight to rack the slide and the mag springs where very stiff. As I racked the first round in from each mag she didn't want to go into battery, had to bump the rear of the slide to get into battery. Of the 12 rounds I put through her, all went bang with no other issues and put all rounds in the target. I couldn't pay for her fast enough. She came with 2 magazines and a pocket holster, no case.
When I got home I field stripped her for a good cleaning and came to the conclusion that if the previous owner had fired her, it couldn't have been more then 1 mag full, if she had been fired at all. Now I have approx. 450 rounds of various types of ammo through. The issue of not wanting to go into battery when racking in the first round, went away at about the 100 round Mark. At about the 150 round Mark I had 1 failure to feed, this I believe was caused by me shooting one handed and probably limp waisted her.
I took her out again this morning and she just keeps getting better and impressing me more and more. Now I'm not a great shot, but today I was shooting at 9" paper plates and went 13 for 13 at 10yds, 12 for 13 at 12.5 yards and 10 for 13 at 15yds. I'm personally very happy with that from such a small gun. This little cw380 is now my EDC. I think I've now become a fan of Kahr.
