Hello,
I'm looking for some input. I have a hole on the right side of my firing pin channel that leads into the pivot hole of the extractor. Is this a debris channel or a chip out of the metal? If it is a chip, would you be concerned about it? Function is perfect with it and it seems like a thin spot of metal so I don't know if it would spread if it is in fact not designed this way.

I saw that in mine and thought it was carbon build up but I couldn't get it removed. But since you say it is a hole I guess it belongs there.

i thought it was buildup as well until I tried to scrape it with a pick.

I'd guess that most of the 380 Kahrs have that spot/void where the the striker tunnel and extractor pocket intersect.
My P380 has it and here's a photo another member posted sometime back of his CW380:

Isn't that where that little hole that visible when you remove the slide that everyone squirts gun cleaner in to clean the channel?

No that is underneath the slide further up towards the breach face. I'm glad to see it is normal. Thank you everyone.

When I detail stripped my P380 and took the broken striker out I saw that too and was concerned that I couldn't chip it away. When I went further with the detail strip and removed the extractor I saw it was an intentional hole. Left it alone after that. Gun shoots fine.
