I recently upgraded from a CW380 to the P380 Kahr. Before people ask, I upgraded because I just wanted to. First 200 rounds, I had a few FTE, which I believe was due to the breakin and a little me, limping. I have found the rounds it likes most the Hornady XTP rounds. I can tell by just chambering the round. It sounds smooth. Sounds better than the Hornady Critical Defense when chambering. Well today I put 50 rounds of Hornady through it which went flawless. A mixture of both the Hornady XTP and the CD. A side note, I did polish up the outer area of the barrel which helped with the smooth action. I'm very pleased with my P380. Note my CW was also flawless a after breakin.

The XTP bullet is a very good performer in .380.

The P380 is a little smaller than the CW model, you're gonna have to learn to shoot all over again.

Good to hear and just stick with ammo you know it likes and above all else keep it clean.

I polished Areas on the outer surface of the barrel and inside the slide that make contact when in operation. Seem to help with smoother chambering.

You were correct, the slide is about .050 inches shorter on the P series. That's like over a millimeter...
