Purchased a new CT45 last week from Robertson Trading Post (731) 989-7641 for $259 plus 4, 8 round ACT mags. I contacted LIMBSAVER (877) 257-2761 and bought a rubber, Full Frame Pro Grip in black. (I have large hands and I don't like finger groves.) The LIMBSAVER adds some girth to the grip permitting the pistol to fit my hand perfect. The feel and texture of the LIMBSAVER is similar to the rubber grip found on the all steel K9. On the inside of the back strap, the LIMBSAVER has 3 rows of small bumps that grip the aggressive factory checkering, preventing the slip on rubber grip from shifting and eliminates abrasion to ones hand while shooting. After the recommended clean and lube it was off to the Frisco Gun Club to break in my new pistol. Fired 200 rounds of 230 gr. ball ammo with NO Failures. All the ACT magazines worked as expected, but would only hold the slide back 50% of the time. I carried a 1911 in combat as an offensive weapon while in Viet Nam, but prefer a double action only trigger for self defense. With the Kahr CT45 I feel I have both my preferred caliber and a trigger with less chance of an accidental discharge under stress. I found the CT45 to be both accurate and fun to shoot.

Thanks for the Limbsaver report. I have the opposite problem, so I use a cut off bicycle tube over the grip. I do not like finger grooves either. You gave good info for those looking for a thicker grip.

Thanks for the info. I might be in the market for the CT45 in the next few months. I find the Kahr grips quite comfortable for me- having problems with Glock. Nice to know about the limbsaver.

If anyone is interested in more info on the LIMBSAVE GUN GRIP go here: https://www.limbsaver.com/product/pro-handgun-ar-15-grips/. BTW - I jusT put a CW45 in layaway with that firearm dealer in the state of KY. I'll send in a review and range report later this month.

I just got the same deal from the same dealer. I also bought 5 extra ACT (Mec Gar) 8 round mags which are beautifully blued and are made for the Gov. 1911. By clipping-off the front riser (bump) from the base pad, the mags are now modded to fit the CT45 perfectly.
I also ran over 200 rds. of 230 grain, also with NO failures. The gun is sighted-in, and a pleasure to shoot, even with the stock grips for my longer hands.
I am in your corner on the DAO debate, but I prefer a lighter, smooth trigger. So I did a full dissassemble and stoned all the mating surfaces, also overwound the trigger spring a little, resulting in a consistent 4 pound Double Action pull. For a 1911-style grip angle and 8 rounds, this gun is ideal. Gotta love the price too!
