Got a little brother for my CM9. Bought it from Dad. About 100 rounds down the pipe. He said it jammed on him but he doesn't know anything about semi automatic pistols, he's a revolver guy. I bet the gun is just fine. Anyway, time for a couple pics ...(:1386913870

Great little weapon. Bet he wasn't locking his wrists. Revolvers don't care about that.
You might find yourself carrying that CW380 and leaving the others home.

Thanks. Yeah he probably was limp wristing it. It's not broke in yet either. I'm going to try and get out and shoot it this week, although I just broke my leg day before yesterday and I'm on crutches. Hopefully my local shooting range will let me sit in a chair and shoot. It's an indoor range. I'd like to run about a hundred more rounds through this little 380 and see what she can do

Chair? Ya only broke one leg rowdy...with crutches and your good leg that's like shooting from a tripod:p;):)
In all seriousness, nice score on the CW380 and here's to a full and speedy recovery.

Use some GOOD FMJ ammo and I bet you won't have a problem. Mine runs great! Once broken get the best CCW ammo you can afford.

Just check the threads on ammo for that thing. They are ammo finicky. PMC bronze works well for me on the range, and I carry Hornady Critical Defense. You may or may not still have some issues during break in no matter what ammo you use so be patient. Clean it real well before you take it out including disassembling the slide and cleaning it. They don't perform well when dirty so don't be surprised if you get 75 to 100 rds in and it starts acting up. Enjoy they are quite accurate and fun to shoot for a small pistol.

I bought some critical defense for it already. My dad gave me the remainder of his range ammo so I'll try and shoot it up first, HPR and American Eagle FMJ
Excellent plan. Once broken-in, try XTP's for carry.

The one thing I didn't do on either of my Kahrs was the initial cleaning. I went straight to the range, ran 100 rounds through them, and then cleaned it. Next trip it did the same. Haven't had any issues with that procedure

That's great you are one of the lucky ones with the 380 then because others have had issues with them when they are dirty. Don't know about the nines as my nines are Glocks and they just keep on ticking when filthy. I had two p380's but have sold one and both of them acted up when dirty. That's 100% on my end. But I carry it clean so I know it will perform if needed.

I just got a CW380 (also to accompany a CM9). Cleaned/lubed it and went to the range. It shot the first 100 rounds (Independence 95 gr FMJ) without a problem. Then tried American Eagle 95 gr FMJ and the malfunctions began: slide locked open with rounds still in the mag, failed to return to battery (the rounds were tilted, nose high) and failed to lock open on an empty mag. Barely got through 50 rounds, hoping it would improve. Didn't know whether it was the ammo, dirt or if the pistol was a lemon.
At home, cleaned/lubed again, looked for problems. Back at the range, started with AE, had same problems. Switched to Independence, ran fine. Tried PMC Bronze 90 gr FMJ, also ran fine. Have now put 350 rounds through it, still not fully confident of it, but will not bother with AE any more.
Next trip will also try defensive ammo: Precision One, Fiocchi Extrema and Hydra Shok, all 90 gr. (First two use XTP bullets.) FWIW, the AE 95 was sold in a bundle with the Hydra Shok.

Keep with it. My CM wouldn't run certain ammo in it until I got to 500+ rounds. Now it runs any ammo I put into it. Like others have said it really helps to keep it cleaned and lubed. I have found that it is better to keep it well lube and not dry like you would a Glock, SW or Springfield. Love these firearms, but they are finicky until they get used.

I have run both the Fiocchi Extrema and Precision One through my p380 without any hickups. About 150 rounds total with no failures. Based on the youtube test video these seem to be very good options. As a bonus neither are really expensive compared to some other brands. My p 380 has never failed on anything I have run through it. For practice I shoot Freedom Munitions 100 gr round nose flat point and they work excellent and at about $11-12 for 50 it is the best deal I can find. The only trouble is getting them when they are in stock. I check the site every day, as soon as they are available they are gone the next day.
Hi Rowdy,
The crimson trace on your CM9, how do you like it?
I'm considering getting one for my CW380.
