Happy to be here, learning listening and sharing from way down South.
I just finished a full dissassembly/reassembly by using the tutorial from this forum. Been a owner-fan and a spokesman for Kahr for years. I believe Kahr invented the whole single stack titlewave before the SHIELD and the XDS came around...
My carry CW40 rides in a Bellyband or sits in the nightstand in a factory, "free", cheap XD holster. My newest gun, a CT45, rides in a range bag always having fun shooting.

Welcome. Any stories about springs on disassembly or reassembly?
Yes, I agree Kahr is well thought out for a small personal defense pistol.. My CM9 is EDC front pocket. Perfect!

All springs/parts were pulled and placed in a magnetic dish, the frame and all the parts submerged in low odor mineral spirits to begin. The flush job yielded a lot of non magnetic trash. BTW
The reassembly got real interesting when I found ON THE FLY! that the trigger bar spring inside the side panel opening had to be put in-place, and the trigger bar assembly wedged solidly against the frame (with a fat ball point pen) before the trigger spring/spacer could be dropped back-in. The springs are tiny and my hands are big so it took some patience to be shure.
Polishing the cams and all the "bearing"-sides and holes and mating parts, as well as bending the trigger spring past it's original angle (for a lighter pull)...The goal of all this was achieved. 4 pound smooth pull DAO feels like my Dan Wesson revo!
Thanks for the report. All advice of problems with spring capture and re-installation is helpful.

Welcome from Arkansas, neighbor. I am one of the lucky ones. My CM9 has been 100% out of the box. ( I did follow the stickies), 3 years and a little over 2500 rounds without a glitch. Welcome to the club!
