I took my new to me PM9 to the range today. I chose a used PM9 with night sights over a new CM9. It ended up at $505 after I retrieved it from the FFL guy. I thought it was a fair price.
I put 100 rounds of 115 grain Federal FMJ RN through it. I used both the 6 and 7 round mag and it ran perfect. I just cleaned and lubed it when I got it and trusted that the previous owner had put at least 200 rounds through it. I was surprised at the recoil, I had expected it to be a bit harder to manage so I was very happy. I do need to pick up a mag loader to ease the load on my thumbs though. I noticed that the trigger is a bit different than my CW 380. I can feel a little click just before the 380 fires, but the PM 9 pulls right through. I dry fired the PM 9 for a while before I went to the range to see if I could find the click, but it wasn't there. I'm very happy with both guns and I am quite sure they both shoot better than I can hold them. I do feel I shoot better with the night sights than the stock sights on the 380. Both keepers for me. The 380 is great for the pocket when I don't want to carry the 9 IWB. I still need to get a holster and try out some carry ammo. Next time I will shoot them both at the same time for a better comparison.
