Well, after a few years of prodding(not in the literal sense) the wifey finally made an appointment to take her CCL class, then onward to get her carry license. I am once again, a happy camper, and have been waiting for this to finally happen. I need someone to protect ME, while I am not paying attention. Proud of her..............It took me a couple years, and trips to the range, and finally finding a firearm that she really likes. She shoots it well, she has a good head on her shoulders(among other things) and has a lot better temperament than I. Our ammo costs will now rise a bit, but well worth it. 2 guns are always better than one. I heard through the grapevine that a friend's wife is getting ready to take a class soon. I actually like it when the females carry.:)

Me too. We really need to continue to encourage them to enjoy guns as much as us.
My wife got her CPL, actually she just renewed it, so she's had it for 5 years. She doesn't shoot often, not nearly enough, but then neither do I really. Just seems always something going on or broke.
I intend to remedy that for both of us asap.

A well done to your better half berettabone:yo:
Range time is good Bawanna sir. I made it out several times this week and my sweetie came out for one of those days. We had the silhouette range all to ourselves plus found a good amount of 45 brass with some 30-30 and 30-06 mixed in.
Regards,
Greg

Several times in a week. I'm jealous. I've had graduations, relatives, projects, etc. It's all good, but it does cut into range time.
After 40 years of packing a .38 S&W snubby, my wife recently went to a Kahr CW45. I was impressed with it sufficiently that after 50 years packing a big bore revolver, I now carry one too.

Well done Mrs. bbone! Mrs. b4 took the class and trains occasionally. But she never applied for her permit. But at least I am confident that she can combat a home intruder.

Nothing makes me happier than when our basic pistol class is filled with women. Last class we had an eighty year old with a 637 S&W snubbie. At 28' she shot like a champ. Recoil? what recoil she said.

I only had 4 women in my CCL class. It was a shame.....................was hoping to see more, but from what I am reading, women are starting to become more interested in self protection, and it's about time. All of the women had revolvers, and definitely needed more range time, but all in all did very well. My wife is a teacher, and has explained to me(on many occasions) that men and women learn differently. We are more mechanical and rigid in our approach, where as women like the KISS theory. The less things to worry about, the better.......FTF, jams, etc. We need more females to take charge of their own protection, we're all better off for it.

Tell your wife congratulations on her CCL . My wife has had her for some years and both daughters got there ccl when legal to do so then prodded there boyfriends now husbands to doing the same . Good to have others around you that carry . All the ladys here have moved on to semi-autos and all different makes and models but all started with revolvers too .

The wife completed her course, and I am proud of her....................she will be carrying an SP101 Wiley Clapp. Shoots it well.........................now I have some backup, and don't have to pay attention quite as much:p

Sometimes I wish my wife had more interest in shooting, but then I think about her shooting MY ammo, and it fades a bit....
Congrats to the wife.
