How much longer is the trigger on a PM9193 vs a Glock? Thanks

I'm looking at the PM9 as a alternative to my Glock 26. I just don't like the long trigger pull.

If you like your Gluck, you can keep it................................................ ......

I don't have a PM9, but the trigger on my CW45 moves about 5/8ths of an inch from it's at rest position until the striker releases. Reset requires just a little less travel than that.

The trigger on my G27 (3.5# connector and a NY1) travels about 3/8ths of an inch (safety lever take up not included) until the striker releases and resets at about 2/8ths.

The Kahr trigger feels lighter and is smoother (very little perceived stacking).
If you are running a stock Glock then you know how the trigger pull stacks. The 3.5# connector and NY1 make that stacking feel less pronounced.

Greg

Any body else have a Kahr PM9193 with enhanced trigger?

I have one and like it very much. I am biased though as I have not shot other Kahr triggers. My other 2 pistols are Beretta PX4s, and the PM9193 has a MUCH better trigger. It has a nearly two stage feel to it. You can take it to a perceptible wall, then just breathe and the shot breaks. Rapid fire though you don't notice it. A VERY accurate pistol, and not just for it's size.

FYI, people rightly complain about the cheese grater grip, yet when you correctly grip it tightly, that digs into your palm and helps stabilize the gun. I do not like shooting 50+ rounds through it in a row, yet I DO know that I can put 2-3 mags through it with consistent accuracy. That's what I need from an uber concealable 9mm in a defense situation.

Thanks, how does it compare to Glock?

You're asking the wrong guy, as I'm just not a fan of 'Blocks'. I've shot a Glock 22 and a 19, which are full sized guns with that funky safety/non-safety trigger, and the Kahr PM9193 on various levels is just an entirely different gun.

Have a look at a Walther P99CAS - that is, P99, Compact, Anti-Stress trigger.

You have a choice of pre-cocked and about 4lbs, extremely short pull and reset, or in AS mode, you get something more like a Kahr trigger - 8lbs and long - but reverting to precocked after shot #1

Size of the compact is roughly P9/CW size, a bit bigger than the PM9/CM9, but is compact double stack for 10 shots.

Sorry. There are some Glockers on the forum but not many...and even fewer who shoot the Kahr enhanced trigger. Most of us like the original. If you've ever shot a real good, we'll broken in revolver and liked it you will like a Kahr trigger. But if you prefer to stage the trigger or tend to shortstroke when shooting fast, you might not like a Kahr. The enhanced trigger is just a bit shorter stroke than the original. Otherwise the same smooth pull and long reset. Not at all like a Glock.

I rented a standard PM9 today and liked it, pretty accurate. The trigger pull wasn't as long as I thought it would be and I'm sure the PM9193 will be even better.

Try a Pachmayr rubber grip sleeve. It looks great and you can shoot 200+ rounds without discomfort.

Is the enhanced trigger available as a replacement for standard PMs?

I'm pretty sure it's not according to what I've read. You'd have to call Kahr to find out.
