You can still register online to build a SBR or SBS or AOW

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFS9MPQuwVk
Is the instructions for how to.

I just did my two Del-Ton receivers, for SBR. The process took about 15 minutes each. You need a TRUST to do this online. No LEO signoff, no finger print card.

After July 15, you're going to have to prove you "notified the chief LEO" and also submit a fingerprint card - for each form 1 you fill out.

I totally know and am struggling with whether or not to SBR my soon to arrive Hk SP5K 9mm:confused:
Can't stand the thought of swapping out 6 OEM Hk parts with third party crap:mad:

If you SBR, you cannot go back to pistol. You can go long barrel rifle.

And crossing state lines, selling and ...
The U.S laws blow:mad:
I'm truly thinking of just adding a Sig SB15 brace, leaving it a pistol and having a nice day:cool:

Full Disclosure:
My brace with adapter from HKParts arrives Thursday.:p

I'm in the furnace known as Phoenix.
Definitely planning to retire back in Florida.
For me? It's totally an issue.

Totally no fun moving with the guns I've got now.
Just spent a week in Oregon and that place is out!:p

118 is Death Valley - and that's Phoenix on a good day (dry heat my ass).
You can cook eggs on your hood no problem (maybe over done).
Tampa never gets over 99 and there is a constant cool breeze off of of the gulf of mexico.
Ill take Tampa seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

Cool breeze? The gulf water is currently 87F so how cool can tge air that blows over it be? I remember SLC... Was 105 felt like 80 in Fl....low humidity.

Grab your steering wheel on your car a 118 and then we can talk about heat.
I'm going to wager a guess and say you've never spent a single day in Phoenix?

What do you say?

My son said it got plumb warm in 29 Palms. A buddy of his is there now and plumb warm again.

He says it's been hitting 115+or- lately in Baghdad.

Now they changed things from 12 hours on and 12 hours off to 8 hours at his post on the roof, 8 hours geared up but he can be in his room or wherever just ready, and 8 hours off.
So much for any free time.

Plumb warm I don't care who you are.

Maybe it's just me, but 110+ heat just seems inhuman.
I can take the humidity in Tampa FL easily.
Even if the gulf feels like bath water.
Fresh cool air blowing constantly is still nice.
Grew up in the Mojave desert with around 105 summer temps.
But I've been in Phoenix for three years and 118/120 is a freaking oven.
Locals tell me they have lived here all there lives and never got used to the heat.

Fortunately I purposely rented an apartment with the air included.
Electric bill in the summer is ~$20 bucks and I keep the place ~70 24/7 - LOL

Well.... the first thought I had was... hey lets just swap states!

But then I was thinkin' ... you have no issue with AZ ->> FL with NFA firearms. Florida allows everything, even DDs. There is no fee to move, just an intent do to so form (and a short wait for approval).

Yup, AZ and FL are gun friendly for sure.
I just don't like all the ATF crap.
Don't want to have to file/wait for anything.
And I can't convert back to a pistol?
I'll run the Sig brace, use it like a SBR and practice in the desert.:p
There's just no way I'm bastardizing my pristine German SP5K.
Actually going to try shooting with the factory single point sling first.
And if I'm proficient at handgun distances?
I'll leave it the way I got it from Germany.

NOBODY likes ATF. And I an't talking Automatic Transmission Fluid!

But the filing is less combersome than doing your taxes online. Yah, I hate that too.

Lets say its slightly more complex than setting up an account on AMAZON and purchasing something. Very slightly more. Except for the wall of users slowing things down (Tuesday evenings are BUSY because they shut down from 6am-6pm Wednesday for scheduled maintenance ... every week).

But to each his own. I look at it this way. I can grab two stripped lowers, sock 'em away. If I ever want to change things, sell, just revert back to pistol -- with the NEW receivers --.

I choose what I will do...
