Needed a house gun with a larger capacity magazine and found the 9C on Buds for a great price on LEO and military section. Will be here tomorrow so hopefully I can get to the range this weekend to break it in if it isn't too hot outside. Lately our temps here have been in the 100's. This should be a good gun for house and small enough for wife to handle if need be. If anyone has one let me know how you like it.

I don't have the 9C, but I do have the .40C. Fortunately, I got one with a smooth trigger out of the box. I like the firearm, and am still getting used to it. Some come with a gritty trigger. It's caused by grit under the plunger on the slide. Just needs a bit of cleaning in the hole. There have been differing opinions as far as trigger kits. I think the stock trigger is fine, as long as you get rid of any grittiness. I wanted something that didn't break the bank, carried well OWB, had some capacity, and fit my hand. I got all of that. I put a Pachmayr grip glove on it. I like the way it shoots. Is it as nice as my HK? No, but it's about $300 cheaper. It's a nice gun, I think you'll like it.

M&P's are very nice pistols. You are correct in your statement about it makes a great house gun. House gun triggers usually don't have to be competition quality so think twice before you fiddle, and this is coming from a guy with a Apex kit in my Shield. Did I need it? NO. Is it cool? YES. Would I do it again? NO!

I have a 9c, had it for about 3 years now. I replaced my sear and added a RAM from Apex tactical. The trigger in mine was terrible out of the box, I hear they're much better now. I also added Ameriglo Spartan night sights. After those upgrades I love it. It's in my carry rotation with my MK9, Glock 43 & Glock 19. It's very accurate, reliable and takes the full size M&P mags. I'm sure you'll be very happy with it. Congrats!

Thanks guys. Will not be doing anything to this gun except shoot it! Don't even plan to CCW it either- just a home gun.

Took it to the range this morning. Went thru 100 rds without a problem. It is a sweet shooting gun. Looks like it will be a keeper
