I got a look at the mags included with my new (to me) PM9. One is a MK720. The other is a MK620 but has a Pearce extension. I slid the grip extension back a bit and the spring popped out. I'm thinking that there may be pieces missing.
Can anyone post a pic or a link to a pic of a MK620 that shows all of the parts, either an actual pic or an exploded view?
Any other information on aftermarket mag parts would be greatly appreciated. The Pearce extension feels good but pokes out a bit in the wrong place making concealing a but difficult. It projects out and makes a tent pole point on my shirt. The base of the MK720 might be better as is but would be a bit better if it was smaller.
I'm not concerned with having extra rounds in the mag, more so with optimum concealibility.
Thanks!!!!

You might be missing the locking plate that has a nib that holds the base in place. I don't know if the Pearce comes with one, but the original owner may not have used a plastic locking plate. The metal one will not work as it's more of a bump instead of a nib and won't hold the base in place.
In the picture the lower mag is a 6-round with the metal base plate and locking plate. The mag above has the polymer base plate and locking plate. The numbers are the coil counts using both sides of the springs. Note the orientation of the spring with respect to the follower. A free end goes to the front for maximum lift.

Thanks Wynn!
Yeah, I figured there was something missing when I saw the spring fly. Glad it wasn't my eye. LOL
Is it possible to get just the locking plate?
I am fine without the finger hook. I'm more interested in having it not make a point in my shirt. What would be a good replacement for the entire base?
I normally carry 5 + 1 so I'm not concerned about extra capacity or extended mags. For a spare mag I carry whatever fits.

A few folks have filed or ground off the finger hooks with good results.
The flat metal base plate would seem to be the least obtrusive and most concealable.

I have replaced the polymer bases in my carry magazines in 9mm and .40 S&W with the metal sets, and black bases while they were available, so I have two of the metal base sets as used on the PM9/PM40 and MK9/MK40. I also have one polymer base set left. Some people don't like the polymer finger lip and sand that off and some prefer the slight lip of the Kahr's polymer base and remove a bit of material from the top to make it fit the PM/MK pistols. You can do that with a sheet of sandpaper on a flat surface and evenly sand the top of the base plate until the mag will lock into place and still release when the mag catch is pushed. A tiny bit of "slop" is needed for reliable function.
Each part sells for $8.80... the base or the locking plate, and a set of one of each is $15 plus shipping which will make the price over $20 for just a set.
I can sell you either set for $10 shipped if you have Paypal, "gift" preferred.

I hate the plastic bases that came on the mags for my CT9, I much prefer the stamped steel plates that came with my CM9 mags. That was a bad move on Kahr's part, they look goofy and add unnecessary length to the grip.

I'm with you, for concealed carry the metal bases are the smallest. They are my preference as well. I'm pretty sure Kahr will sell any of the parts individually.
