View Full Version : CM9 slide disassembly
I shoot my CM9 a lot; can I disassembly the slide to replace striker spring, remove and clean extractor? does it disassemble like the Glocks?
manual does not slide disassembly. any info will help.

It's a bit more difficult than a Glock.

Here's a good thread from this forum. The Ripley retractor (bent coat hanger) is a great help.

It's not difficult, slightly trickier but very similar to the Glock.
Like everything else, once you've done it a time or two it's easier.
I seldom take mine apart but occasionally.

I forgot about the coat hanger trick. I have mine in my toolbox. Made it a lot easier.

Put the slide and the coat hanger tool in a gallon Zip-lock and poke your jewelers screwdriver or whatever you're using to depress the striker spring guide through the plastic. It'll keep all those little parts contained.

SFD:
I have read about doing this in a gallon zip lock bag before, but it seemed difficult with gun, tools and hands all in a baggie, but never had the brilliant idea to push the jewelers screwdriver 'through' the plastic of the closed baggie.
What a great idea! Hunh. . I never made the connection. (slaps forehead).
