Keep the 686........................................a friend of mine has the Casull and let me shoot it. It's not something you want to shoot more than once or twice. It's nice to look at. The 686 I could shoot all day. JMHO.

I think if I had a 686+ I would NEVER trade it.

I'd be tempted to keep the 686 myself. Course you can always get another 686+.

I'm with beretta in that the 454 isn't gonna be a regular player but again be durn nice to have.

I'd probably lean towards trade. I'd want a non + 686 anyhow. 7 shooter just ain't natural.

A fellow RSO just bought the Alaskan. 30' this guy can shoot fist sized groups using handloaded 45 Colt. Now, 454 really gets his attention.

Personally, you really have a nice gun in the 686+ but...........

I forgot you could shoot 45 Colt......I'd probably swap. I love 45 Colt.

No question I would keep that 686. But then, I'm also the "boobs are too big" guy.

Is that the actual Alaskan pic? With the polished cylinder, etc.? That's hot! Put some Lett style grips on it and get the Colonel to whittle you some panels... That would tent my britches. Credit for that last phrase goes to the good Colonel himself.

Travel in bear country? Hand load 45 colt? If so, trade. Otherwise keep the fine 686 38/357. Just my opinion though.

Yes, it has polished cylinder and jeweled trigger. Pretty equal to mine, 'cept will cost more to shoot.....but it has cool factor. This aint easy.....wood grips wood look good, but no no for shooting!

I see keeping the 686 has jumped to a 3 point lead. I have to go with keep it and just add the 454.

Easier all around, less stress and all.

What you asking for the 686, maybe everyone can be a winner.

Somehow I don't think I'm gonna be a winner on this one. I can feel it in my cells.

RE wood grips: Best of both worlds IMHO. I actually find these more comfortable than the Hogues.

Or both. If he had the money he could maybe afford the therapy.

I'm real interested in the root of his boobs are too big mentality.
