Figured I'd dress up my Bearcat Shopkeeper a bit with some grips from eBay.

Sweet Mary and Joseph, don't that make my britches stick out in front!
That is beyond splendid. Wowza! Got the Ruger emblem and the whole deal.
I been looking for Stag too but haven't found what I seek yet. Need to look harder I reckon.

Thanks Boss! If I might be so bold to ask,... what are you looking for in stag?
Good God Almighty.....

Thank ya! The old grips are nice and a better fit than some I've seen on Rugers. Now that I think about it, I've been lucky that way with grips on my Ruger single actions. Though sporting stag now, my Bisley had nice grip panels from Ruger:

Been seeking some stag for 1911 and my Uberti Birdshead Cattleman. Haven't hunted hard for the Uberti.
I've acquired a taste for thin grips on a 1911 so been looking for thin stag.
It's tough because the antler or horn pretty much dictates it's own thickness.
I've thinned down the set that came with my 42 Colt, they aren't great examples of stag but not bad. They are getting better.
Little tougher to thin from the inside so as not to mess with the outside look.
I see fake stag on Ebay pretty cheap which is what I am and probably always will be. I'd go that if I can get the thinness.

The black does look good, I think I still prefer the stainless but now I might be a fence sitter. Either / or looks mighty fine.
This thread got me off my duff, and I fit the factory grips to the one Bearcat I've been working more on. Ain't as pretty as yours tho. I like, prefer, the stainless n stag more than the black n stag. Maybe if the black were worn out some, a bit more "period" looking, like this?

They're all purdy and make my britches stick out in front, a bunch. BTW, nice silver tips in there. Hard to find older ones like that now a days.

Colonel, if I get an elk this year and the antlers aren't something worth hanging on the wall, I'd be more than happy to send them your way. No idea if you need the entire rack or just cut some off for you. I'll let you know how the hunt goes in about a month.

AWESOME! But don't consider nothing that's worth hanging.
