A bit of Luck today!

Scored 10 boxes of 44 Russian at $17.50 each - a mis order/mis ship at the local range.

They're 247g @ 820fps (in what barrel, probably 5-1/2 inch), boxer primed and brass. Fiocchi made.

I think I'm set on .44's for a bit.

Did some online lookin' and they're cheaper than .44 specials in most places, at least by a few bucks. So if you don't reload, or just need some ammo to get the brass, you can find 'em online for about $30-32 a box, not my deal but less than the 'Specials.

Nice score :) I like .44 Russian. I bought quite a bit of it some years back when Sportsman's Guide had it on sale. For the most part, I use them in a Charter Target Bulldog, but they also shoot fine out of a Bisley Vaquero.

Yap. Same ballistics as a real 44 special, just a tad shorter case, and... reloadable on (most) 44sp/mag die sets.
