I picked up my first Kahr on Wednesday, a new K9, and was able to break it in at the range today. I went through 200 rounds in about a 40 minute time period. This handgun is by far the nicest pistol I have ever fired. It performed flawlessly. Not a single hiccup or failure. Absolutely flawless. Extremely accurate and the trigger is everything I dreamed it would be after adjusting the trigger bar spring a bit (see my post in the New Member section about this). I am going to have to stock up on some good reloads, because I could have easily stayed for another 300 rounds. As it was, I purchased Federal 115gr target ammo from the indoor gun range I visited today. I think I could shoot this all day and never stop smiling. The only nitpick I have is an issue that has been discussed many times on this forum, the last round in the magazines tends to want to not seat properly and pop out. So I may order some aluminum followers for the magazines. Overall I would give it a 9.5/10. I deducted a half point due to the magazines not holding the last round securely. Yep, I love it and look forward to more time at the range.

Congratulations on your K9. Mine has been my EDC for quite some time now and I agree with you. I love it!

I strippped down the K last and cleaned it out good. I ran it pretty wet during the break in period. The frame assembly was dirty as expected, but the slide was not too bad at all. I hosed everything down with Gun Scrubber because that is what I had on hand and flushed out all of the little primer chips. They were mostly concentrated in the grip frame area. The clean-out hole on the slide wasn't dirty at all. I flushed it though, and the firing pin hole as well. Going to order the stainless guide rod and metal mag followers on Monday.

Same range report everyone gives after shooting the K, me included. Now if they would just make a K-45!! Please!

Yes, same range report for the past 20 years. I just had to remind you all how good you really have it.

There are some machine marks on my feed ramp, but I don't believe it matters at all. If you take the grips and slide off and insert a magazine, and then put the barrel on the frame where it would normally rest with the full slide assembly installed you will see what I mean. When the barrel tilts the lower and mid section of the feed ramp are not even used to guide a new round into the chamber. I'll post some pics when I hit my 30 requirement.

The barrel does wear a bit, on the LHS, as it is being tilted up on the frame rail. This is something I noticed. It is like a nick in the upper LHS of the feed ramp where it joins the barrel. Nothing abnormal I'm sure, just part of the break in I believe.
