Just picked up my CM9 today. I read several others addressing the magazine sticking issue. I wanted to see that the moment I picked it up at the gun shop. No issue with it sticking at all. The only thing I noticed was depending on how I held the gun, sometimes the mag would hit my palm stopping it from ejecting properly. Other than that, the mag slips right out with no issue. I took it apart and that is a little challenge I guess cause the gun is new to me, but I had it apart and lubed it up and immediately noticed a difference in pulling the slide back once I put it back together. The slide release is a little tough on the hand but hopefully will also improve once the gun is broken in a little. That said, I can't wait to start shooting it and getting it broken in.

Yep. It just gets better and better. Welcome.

Mine has smoothed out considerably after about 230 rounds. Have you checked the firing pin channel for debris?

Why would I check the firing pin for debris?

It seems that they come from the factory with a free quantity of junk in the firing pin area. Mine had just a little.

I think that generally this is much better now days. It used to be more of an issue years ago.
Based on that information I have checked mine before shooting them just to see what if I had any and mine (3 plus a couple friends) were pristine. Oiled and pretty but no extra junk.

I suspect it still happens and if one takes the top end down for a spring replacement or whatever I'd certainly check and clean accordingly. I just don't think it's as common these days.

I polish my magazines inside and out. I'm OCD that way but it makes the mag buttery smooth.

I don't do the inside but I do polish the outside. Not sure what OCD is but I probably got that too.

I like smooth.

I found some small metal shavings in mine. Never hurts to look.

Yep not a problem with new mags and weapon. I concluded the same and that was people who were complaining about sticky mags were obstructing the other side of mag release.
