Hello all! I have finally ordered a Kahr and went with the CW45 to replace my revolver as my main carry weapon. I don't know much about Kahr but can say the few i have handled felt really good in my hands. I hope this pistol lives up to my expectations. I will admit, I haven't messed around on this forum much yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction of finding little tips and tricks to improve on this model? Ive read all about the breakin but am curious if there is anythong else worth mentioning. Thanks in advance, i hope to add other kahr models to my small collection.

There's a few great threads in the tech section. One specifically for the CW45.
Browse through the stickies and you'll find a few gems.
Glad you found us.

Some of the issues in both these threads are usually not issues anymore, things that have been addressed but worth reading none the less.

^^^ most of the stuff you will find on this site are to help you overcome any issues and get/keep the gun running. As for making it better? It's already pretty darn perfect! ;) I changed nothing on my CM45 but some others might chime in about followers, striker springs, grip tape, etc. Plus you can do a little cosmetic stuff if that helps you make it "your own". I polished my barrel a bit but I'm not sure I should admit that here.
Welcome

Awesome, thanks! All the good things i have read about kahr is why i chose them. Seem like a great option especially for the price. Cosmetically, it's a carry pistol, not an art piece for me. Still a nice looking pistol from kahr but not so pretty im afraid to carry it and get her a little dirty. Thanks again!

Oh, there is one really cool thing you can do for a CW. You can use 1911 mags which fit flush and shorten the grip just a tad and look a whole lot better and are cheaper too. Info on that is probably in one of the links the Colonel gave you. I think, were I to do it again, I would buy a CW vs. a CM just for the flush mag option.

The cw45 is nice. Good shooter and not too heavy at all for a .45. Welcome by the way.
