It seems like I have seen this answered here before but I cannot find it. Will a new P380 slide work on a CW380? I assume not without replacing the barrel also but just wanted to confirm.

The barrels and guide rods are different lengths. I think you could change the barrel, slide assembly and recoil assembly and be ok, but have not tried it.

I figured the barrel might have to be replaced. The guide rod is not expensive but I figured that it did not have to be replaced based on your Lakeline LLC site, Alfonse. Your replacement guide rod for the CW380 and Newest P380 is the same rod.

I think it ends up more of a preference than the part actually changed. Some folks with P380s like the longer guide rod.

I've swapped slides and barrels back and forth between my CW380 and P380 and it's worked fine.

Last summer I read that new P380s were shipping with the same longer slide and guide rod as the CW380. I still haven't seen any pics on Gunbroker so I don't know if that is true or not.

I'm not sure either. I am only basing it on what customers have said. I ended up putting the lengths of the guide rods for the CW380 and P380 on the website so folks could verify what they needed. Our P380 guide rod is the same length as the one you would order from Kahr, yet some customers claimed that their P380 had a longer one, and the CW380 one made them happy. I haven't seen it with my own eyes, but the specifications on the parts are different, by 0.050" or so. FWIW.

I have replaced my CW380 slide with a P380 slide. All other parts are from the CW. Everything works fine and I have not had any problems.
