Hello everyone,

I finally got around to ordering a Kahr. I've wanted one since I handled a K9 many years ago at a gun show. My new CM9 is waiting at the local FFL while the county adds the pistol to my permit. I ordered a N82 "Professional" IWB holster for it, as well as a classic DeSantis Nemesis. That should get me started in my search for a comfortable and preferred carry method.

I'm a long-time hand-gunner and shooter, but this is my first carry pistol (unless you count my Beretta Jetfire). I enjoy reading the experiences and advise of others on this, and other, forums and look forward to much enjoyable and informative reading.

Take it easy,
Bob

desmobob….You have found a home! Lots of good people here! Folks keep their egos in check and really try to help out.

NY is a tough place to carry, from what I have read.

When I was in the Air Force I was temporally (3 months) stationed at Rome/Utica NY…..beautiful area in the 80's, haven't been back since.
Welcome to the Forum!

Hello Bob! Get outta New York state!

Here in Fl, you go in, buy the pistol, put it in your pocket and go about your way, all in a few minutes time.

Good choice.
Once I got my concealed carry permit, I went on a search for the "perfect" pocket pistol. I chose the CM9 and was never disappointed. I am on my feet most of the day. I wear dress casual pants with a dedicated gun belt.
CM9 is not too big ,not too small and a serious self protection round. You will appreciate the accuracy, trigger pull, and mild muzzle rise. A 30 round break-in period, and 100% reliability ever since.
Follow the break-in stickies and you are good to go.

Welcome from New Mexico. Wife is from New York but I have forgiven her.

:) Sometimes, I hesitate to tell people I'm from New York because a lot of folks immediately picture the city. But I live far upstate at the edge of the Adirondack Park, surrounded by woods, mountains and lakes. The folks up here would love to cut the big city off the bottom of the state and be rid of their outrageous taxes, politics, etc.

Thanks for the welcome,
Bob

Welcome Bob. I was raised in Florida but somehow wound up in Upstate NY for 20 years - Saratoga County. Did lots of hikes and camping in the Adirondacks. It's a beautiful place, but for me the winters just tore me up from the length and intensity. I made it back home to Florida 10 years ago and couldn't be happier - heck it's 87 and sunny today - October 30th!

Too bad NY is not a free state.

Howdy from Austin, Texas.
