I recently bought a P40 for CC and love the pistol. Easy pistol to shoot and damned accurate at least to 7 yards. Not new to pistols, .40 or shooting. Curious what mods you have made to make the pistol more reliable. The P40 is bit snappy, maybe a bit slower on the second shot. I noticed Kahr sells a ported barrel, anyone tried it. I shoot a ported Sig 226 .40 and a ported S&W 629. Also looked at aluminum magazine followers. The followers got my attention because of problem I had with another pistol. What have you done to your p40?

Thanks

I had a P40 Covert, before I found the 9mm Covert.

I'll admit, the 40 S&W was "too snappy" for me in such a small package, and ammo price was higher too.

I'd add:
* Rubber grip sleeve, with palm swell
* Stainless recoil spring guide rod, checkered on business end
* Wolff 5# Striker Spring

Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestions. I reload .40's so ammo cost is about the same as 9mm. Rubber grip sleeve is on the way. Will research the other parts. Shooting the P40 is less of handful than the 357 snub nose S&W I own.
